This bride is just starting to crochet and is doing amazing. Way back when I learned there was no internet or You Tube. I had my mom, Anne Litterio she taught me the basic stitches and granny squares. I learned the Irish Coffee blanket from my friend’s grandmother. And my friend, who is self taught crochetes the most amazing things. These women inspired and motivated me to push my crocheting skills to the next level.

Planning ahead, it’s really the key to being successful. This applies to all crafters…
But I seem to loose control of this concept when I go the the craft stores! Especially when I need a yarn fix. No I don’t need more yarn but I want it, I just can’t leave the store without buying! I don’t even know what I’ll create with the yarn so I usually end up not buying enough and then I have to improvise when I figure out what to make. See how planning is the key!!
Points taken:
➡️ avoid the craft stores
➡️ use the yarn in my yarn stash before buying more yarn (haha… right! 😝)
➡️ find projects/people that I create and gift to (Lots of hand crocheted Christmas 🎄 🎁🎄presents this year!!)
➡️ Most importantly… know when to walk away 🧶😱

The story behind this new creation goes like this! I have an addiction to buying yarn 🧶 🧶 so I bagged up a few skeins to donate had a hard time separating from the yarn so I took some back out of the “donate” bag. And after scolding myself that I have way tooo much yarn I put it back in the bag and gave it away (to my mom). Months later in her cleaning spree she says to me “come take a look at the yarn you gave to see if you want any back “ I immediately say no!!!! But the next time I visit her she drags me to her room and dumps all the yarn out on her bed and says do you want any? Again I say no… but I looked at the yarn, it was a quick glance and I’m drawn to it … and yes I take back some yarn. No freaking idea what I’m going to create with it but I have it now… yay! weeks later an idea 💡 comes to me. And this is what I made - no pattern just freestyling- Summer Shoulder Shrug
I think it came out pretty good!

Custom made Christmas 🎄 stockings as a birthday gift/ Christmas gift for my niece. They’re double sided so she can have them hang left or right with two different looks!

This was a big challenge for me to make 6 Christmas stockings, doubled sided, double stranded. Sparkly yarn with Christmas blend for one side and Chenille with Sparkle yarn for the other side! Was trying to use the yarn in my stash!! But had to buy sparkly yarn for this .. can’t see it in the photos but it really made the WOW 🤩 - only had 2 weeks to get it done!! (Birthday gift / Christmas 🎄 present) LOVE how they came out.

(I think Michelle was happy and very surprised with them.)

Very excited with how this gift came together! First time making the basket and the “luvey”… perfect baby shower gift for my nephew. (First of many babies.. good luck kiddo)

Here’s some of my latest finished projects.
I’m loving the colors. I know they’re bright 😎 that’s exactly what will help you see them when you’re looking for them. The bags can be used to hold keys or phones inside bigger bags… making finding your keys or phone easy peasy😉

Here’s how it all comes together.

BUT first you need fresh flowers 💐then you dry them out. These ones I just put in a shoe box with some silica packets to help draw the moisture out.

This one is my favorite so far 🥰

Finding the best time to make the wind chimes, sun chimes and car chimes is not easy.

Here’s my ideal routine schedule:

➡️ Mondays - pour the resin molds in the AM when no one else is home 🏡 for the day, so the fumes aren’t strong when we all get home
➡️ Tuesday - nights are for designing the layout and color scheme for beads
➡️ Wednesdays - start with do a second resin pour in the AM.
➡️ Thursday or Friday - nights string beads with a couple of cocktails 🍹 and a movie 🎥 on the iPad ☺️
➡️ Weekend- find time to put the whole piece together 👍🏻🙌🏻.
➡️ Done ✔️

Repeat 🔁

Most times life gets in the way and this is drawn out to two weeks. 😅
