I was told that THE BUILDOUT is an experience before ever walking into the theater, but that description alone doesn’t do it justice. A meticulous unraveling of two beautiful characters, the desert serves as an almost alien landscape that becomes the catalyst for the many inevitable questions that arise as they move deeper into the unknown. Luckily, there’s plenty of room for contemplation in the absolutely gorgeous photography this movie pours over. It’s an undoubtedly original and personal vision, shot completely in the elements with a true maverick spirit. It looms over you long after the credits roll, similar to how the filmmakers towered over the host in their photo.

It was an honor to host the absolutely incredible OFF RAMP at Panic Fest this year. This movie packs a million laughs alongside a truckload of heart, with characters that deliver performances so relentlessly good that by the time it wraps you can’t tell which tears are from laughing and which tears are from joy. It mixes brutality with brotherhood in a way that creates a life lesson out of a wild Juggalo road trip. Chosen family is true family, and blood (there’s plenty to go around) isn’t always thicker than Faygo.
