The reason why I started SwingLoaf was to indulge my passion for and to feed my neighbours. Today, the fascinating invited me into her lovely home for a coffee. I admit - I’ve been listening to too many health podcasts and I am now super interested in my gut health. Hence I’m now releasing these beautiful ‘pureblood’ (HP reference!) | loaves into my catalogue- 90% rye and 90% wholemeal. Eat them and make those bacteria in your large intestine weep!

One of my regulars suggested i try a recipe. I said ‘i’ll swap you a loaf for it!” So here we are, enjoying some homemade bean and amino acid rich soup with a le classic seeded bun for lunch at the library! I’m loving the bartering and making use of this lovely community!
bread in general (from this experience and from skiing) has a tight crumb and low gluten flour. Very flaky, crusty, and crumbly. Like cake. I tried ‘ madre’ bread (made with mother yeast or like a sourdough) but the texture is nothing like a swingloaf- which is chewy, large holes and non cake like.
Italian bread- turmeric, grains (chia, quinoa), white spelt, wholemeal, and bread made with the first press of grapes for wine which is fermented.

Finally got to meet Amy aka today! Us and our finally got to hang out as well as we ate herr lovely ice creams.
Why Loaf?
I swing dance (with Swing State), and I bake! I also knit, but that's another story. I’ve been baking for 3 years, and I can't stop. I bake 2 - 4 loaves a day and my family can't eat it all. If you would like to have a fresh organic sourdough loaf delivered to your door by cargo bike (Wimbledon only) on a weekly basis, do get in touch. I have spelt, white, rye and wholemeal flours to bake with, most of them organic. You can customise your loaf, or you can eat what I eat because I like to try new recipes. I guess that makes me the artisan who makes your loaf. Each loaf will cost £3.50, 50p per loaf will be donated to a #blacklivesmatter cause.

How it works: If you would like to receive a loaf every week, get in touch with me. If you would like a loaf once in a while, please like my page. I will post pictures of extra loaves if and when they are available. You can also give me your number and I will contact you directly when there are extra loaves. :) I use Paypal for payments.

My sourdough takes 2 days to make, that means I’m weighing out the flours on Tuesday, so that I can bake on Thursday morning. The long fermentation creates exquisite flavours, as well as health benefits. It only takes a taste when you know it’s good. I bake at around 7:30am each morning and I usually deliver between 10-12am, or between 3-4pm, depending on the rhythm of each day. Saturday and Sunday morning slots are available..
