Soup Recipes: Slow Cooker Chili

INGREDIENTS
1 tbsp (15 mL) oil
1 can (28 oz./794 mL) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 onion, chopped
1 can (15 oz./398 mL) black beans or kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 lb. (450 g) ground beef or ground turkey
1 cup (250 mL) water
1 pkt. Chili Mix
Optional: Sour cream, sliced green onions, grated cheddar cheese
DIRECTIONS
1. Heat 1 tbsp (15 mL) oil on medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
2. Add 1 chopped onion and cook about 4-5 minutes until softened. Add 1 lb. (450 g) ground beef or ground turkey and cook until browned 7-8 minutes.
3. Add:
1 pkt. Chili Mix
1 can (28 oz./794 mL) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (15 oz./398 mL) black beans or kidney beans, drained and rinsed
4. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 8 hours.
