Me and my fiancé (still love saying this 🥰) last weekend at Dawbstalker’s The Gathering in Penarth. This was first big weekend event we have hosted, we’ve come a long way from our one day events. This Sea Swim Club is growing into something much bigger 🖤
At this event, I also hosted a Chanting Workshop for my biggest group so far. About 40 people chanted OM together - and honestly, my goose bumps spoke for themselves. Our voices and energies all combined together were something I’ve been looking forward to experiencing for a long time, and on Saturday this dream became reality. Thank you for everyone who chanted with us. 🦋

Thich Nhat Hanh, who passed away at the age of 92 in 2022, was a Vietnamese Buddhist monk, peace activist, and founder of the Plum Village Tradition - a school of Buddhism in France.
At the age of 16, Thich Nhat Hanh started his journey to become a monk in Vietnam. Throughout his lifetime, the Zen master published over 100 books in English.
The accomplished author also studied comparative religion at Princeton University and was eventually appointed to be a lecturer of Buddhism at Columbia University.
Although he was very successful, he stayed grounded and kept telling the world about what was most important for him: mindfulness and peace. Not without reason is he very commonly known as the Father of Mindfulness.
There is an incredible amount of his quotes that I love, and this one might be my favourite reminder to stop and look around. 🍀

After leaving the army in 2014, he was looking for a way to calm his nervous system while moving his body. Aerial Yoga has been a game changer for him. The movement combined with the trust in the hammock allows him to decompress his spine while being in the moment and recharge.
In the hammock you need to trust your body and observe how your weight distributes and creates balance - you can’t not be mindful.

My Meditation Foundation Course is back! Do you want to build a sustainable Meditation Routine that works for YOU?
Over five weeks you’ll learn six different types of Meditation, we’ll talk about the science behind it and what happens in your physical brain and body when you meditate.

Paraphrasing some feedback I had after last night’s Meditation Class at . ✨ It feels so good to be back, and this time more regularly, and very organised! Every month we will meet at Nikita’s beautiful hair salon twice, to spend an hour being rather than doing, to listen to what is going on inside and bring the unconscious into the conscious.
These classes are drop in classes: you can join as many or little as you like, you won’t miss anything that you need to enjoy the hour and you’ll get to experience new Meditations each time.

It’s been quiet here, I’ve been taking it slow and working with my energy levels this January - which made it one of my favourite months I’ve had. I would have never thought there would be a January I enjoy!
Now I’m coming back with a long list of events I have planned for this year - everything changed slightly and upgraded, I said bye to things that didn’t work for me last year and planned forward for 12 months.
In the next days there will be more information about each event, and I’m in the process of giving my business a Make Over: soon, I’ll be working with a new name and look. My business is growing with me. :)

28 Days of Mindful Moments • Today is Day 19, and I had just finished writing Day 20 when I received this message from someone who’s given the Meditations a go over the last two weeks and a bit! 😍

In my Taster Sessions, we always start with a very simple Breathing Meditation, before we look into different techniques that can help keep your mind connected to the anchor: our breath. After adding these techniques to our Meditation we notice that our minds get far less distracted.
Before we end the Hour with a Visualisation or Hug Meditation, we do one more type of Meditation that doesn’t use the breath, but either an object or our sense of hearing as an anchor.

Just when I thought I knew what my plan, purpose, destiny.. insert any other highly important sounding words.. is, the next step shows up. After finishing my Meditation Teacher Training, and getting used to teaching, rather than just guiding Meditations, I thought this was what I was gonna concentrate on for the next few years - little did I know in the back of my mind the next plan was forming, the next desire growing and the next step on my journey is coming to the surface of my consciousness.
I really realised once again, that there never will be an 'I'm done' - life and everything that's involved will be forever growing, changing, and developing, and that's why I have already enrolled in the next course for the next qualification, while writing Meditations, creating 28 Day Challenges and teaching my first group in the 5 week Meditation Course for Beginners!
The fact that I'm doing more, doesn't mean, what I have done so far was 'wrong' - it was the foundation of what I'm working on - the overall goal within everything I do and want to do is to help people be more aware, more present with their loved ones and to able to appreciate the little things in life to a greater extend.
Here is to going with the flow, and becoming okay with not having an ultimate destination but rather enjoying the process and every little step along the way! 😍

Out of a Community Skill Swap came my idea for a 28-Day Mindfulness Meditation Challenge - and instead of keeping it hidden and just for our community, I decided to open it up for everyone. So now, this Community Challenge has resulted in not just an expansion opportunity for everyone in our community, but also an expansion for my business!

Believe it or not, 5 minutes later the fog was gone and the sun was out again. It's incredible how powerful the weather in the mountains is and how quickly it can change - that's why even in the summer months hat and waterproof clothing are always on the To Bring List all my participants get when they book on a Mindfulness Retreat Day! 💜

On Thursday, 14th September is New Moon. The perfect time for new beginnings: On that day, we will start a 28 Day Mindfulness Meditation 'Challenge'. After 28 days you will be able to spend more time in your every day life focused on the present moment rather than on auto-pilot.
Every evening, I will share a 10 minute recording of a guided Mindfulness Meditation that can be used at any point of the next day. (First recording to go out on the evening of the 13th ready for thw 14th.)
Included will be Meditations like 'A mindful walk', and 'A mindful cup of Tea', amongst many others. For most of them you won't require anything, but yourself and a quiet spot - while some of them will be with a household item or for a specific activity.
All of it is accessible for a normal household, you won't need anything fancy, and you don't need to have any experience in Meditation.
I will share the recordings in a Whatsapp Group with everyone who joins in the challenge, which gives us the opportunity to share any thoughts, questions, insights or struggles and tipps. It's a great way to have accountability. Having the same experience with others creates a sense of belonging and community that will motivate us to get out of auto-pilot mode!
