Looking ahead to our first event in over 19 long months! A capacity crowd for an outdoor house concert on shores of Sudbury’s Lake Nepahwin with mezzo soprano Jessica Lloyd and jazz guitarist Louis Simão alongside artistic director Peter McGillivray. Opera arias, Schubert Lieder, Portuguese fado, Bossa Nova and a little Gershwin to round it all out! It’s been too long without making music, together!

12/08/2021

Great news to share! NDN will be roaring back to life this fall and spring thanks to the award of a Music Production and Presentation grant from the Ontario Arts Council. Details to follow soon! Can’t wait to make music again. Together!

06/10/2020

We're currently working on plans to come back in 2021 with more performances and innovative collaborations! Stay tuned!

This afternoon we had hoped to present the final concert of our first season, the Drive Shaft Trio with a world premiere by Robert Lemay. Sad to have to postpone due to COVID19, but it WILL happen this fall! Stay tuned for details!

25/03/2020

Due to the escalation of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, we regretfully have been forced to postpone our April 5th concert featuring the DRIVE SHAFT TRIO until the Fall of 2020 and a date to be announced later. This should come as no surprise.

It seems that even our scheme to bring the trio to Sudbury to stream the concert live over the internet has become unworkable given the restrictions. However, our commitment to our artists remains steadfast. This is most certainly a postponement, not a cancellation!

We want to do our part to fight the spread of this virus in our community and "flatten the curve" so that our institutions are not overwhelmed. We hope to announce a new date for this exciting concert along with the rest of our 2020-21 over the next month.

Stay safe! Wash your hands! Don't touch your face!

We couldn't have got our inaugural season going without the generous and visionary support of the Ontario Arts Council's Music Projects and Music Creation programs. Public support for the arts in Ontario is absolutely crucial and we're immensely grateful for it.

Praised by Opera Canada for his “exemplary playing in its clarity and lyricism,” Mokrzewski is frequently sought as a piano soloist, collaborator and music director.
