On Saturday night we said goodbye to Gabriel Zaya Pro Wrestler. We have been proud to be sponsors of Gabe and Trent O’Day … BroDay… for the last few years. These young men have been our family. We have watched their careers bloom for the best part of 5 years. On Saturday night it was career verse career and for myself it was a no win situation. I shed few tears (ok more than a few) proud tears, sad tears and tears of love. As guttered as we are to say goodbye to Gabe it is not forever (he can’t get rid of that easy)we wish him all the best and he will always be family. We are still sponsors of Trent and looking forward to seeing just how far he progresses in the professional wrestling scene. 😍

🎃 Results 🎃

1. Stitches outlasted 12 other competitors in the Annual Hardcore Rumble to earn himself a future QWA United Heavyweight Championship opportunity. With a new look, and a renewed love of violence, will anyone on the roster be able to pull the curtain on this horror show?
RESULT: Winner - Stitches the Clown

2. Former partners Champ Phoenix & JayM.E went to war in a hellacious street fight served with an extra helping of carnage. JayM.E was the fan favourite, and had the crowd firmly on their feet, but it was his ex-friend and mentor that had the final say.
RESULT: Champ Phoenix def. JayM.E

3. CJ Hench travelled all the way up to the coast with a point to prove to the QWA faithful and to Tommy Asguard. The 6'7" Viking already had a victory over CJ Hench from over 12 months prior, but this time history would not repeat itself as CJ Hench successfully (although dubiously) retained his IPW Heavyweight Championship.

4. Edmund Blayr has ditched the booze and taken to handing out beatings as opposed to beer. The 'spaghetti-weight sensation' Charlie D had a strong showing, however Mr. Blayr marched on.

At this stage of the show, announcer Tim Axton introduced special guest and World Wrestling Commissioner, Marty Jones. Mr. Jones sat ring side to ensure the remainder of the night ran smoothly, as the final two matches would both concern QWA Championships.

5. Long time friends and competitive rivals Australian Wolf and RUFIO squared off for the QWA Middleweight Championship in the penultimate match of the evening. A hotly contested battle ended with crowd favourite Wolf retaining, and then being immediately interrupted by Edmund Blayr. Blayr stated that he wanted the QWA Middleweight Championship, but after a few minutes of back and forth, and an incredibly generous ultimatum from Marty Jones to the Australian Wolf, his request for a match on November 19th was officially granted. The two will go head to head at our next event!

6. As the main event of the evening loomed large, (Seth, Sam Cannon & UltraLove Jet Steele) furiously stormed the ring and demanded to know their opponents for the evening. After an outrageous claim that not a single team in the entire universe could defeat them, they were made to immediately put their money where there mouth was, as their opponents were revealed to be none other than the Wrestling Multiverse travelling BroDay (Trent O’Day & Gabriel Zaya). Clearly distressed at the fact they had not had time to prepare, NFT tried to pummel BroDay into submission but the reality walking duo seemed to have an answer for everything until UltraLove Jet Steele swung the match away from their favour. In the end, a volley of insults and interference from an increasingly frustrated Jet Steele, and a poorly timed dropkick to the sensitive area of Marty Jones allowed BroDay to take advantage of the chaos and dethrone the tag team champions!
RESULT: BroDay def. NFT to become THE NEW QWA Tag Team Champions

Suspicions quickly fell on their opponents for the evening DickStorm P.I. - though the Tag champs Steven Stanleys and EC Brownie seemed to know more about the events of O'Days disappearance then they let on. We continue the road to QWA Rockhampton presents Mortal Combat, the first QWAR show where YOU decide the stipulations, with a Number 1 Contenders March for the QWAR Tag Team Championships!

Last month at RETRIBUTION the team of Steven Stanleys - Life Coach and EC Brownie - QWA Pro Wrestler, otherwise known as the Seventeenth Step, snatched away the Tag Team Titles from the multidimensional trailblazers BroDay in yet another controversial finish to the Tag Team saga involving the aforementioned and fan favourites, DickStorm P.I.
QWAR Commissioner Cherry Bombshell - QWA has granted BroDay their retribution in a No.1 Contenders match and has proposed the warring teams slug it out in an Iron Man Match. But Dickstorm have challenged the former champs to what they have aptly named a "Miami Beach Brawl". Broday have answered the call with an equally mysterious "Multiverse Mayhem" Match of their own, but neither team have disclosed the details on the stipulations of their match of choice.
