"To the attentive eye, each moment of the year has its own beauty, and in the same field, it beholds
This is gorgeous tree really caught my eye.
If you haven't hugged a tree recently,
or if you haven't hugged a tree ever,
give it a try.
It's a really good feeling.

"We like our fun and we never fight
You can't dance and stay uptight
It's a supernatural delight
Everybody was dancing in the moonlight
Dancing in the moonlight
Everybody's feeling warm and bright
It's such a fine and natural sight
Everybody's dancing in the moonlight"

Fall is mushroom season.
There is so much to be learned from fungi. They connect in mass networks of mycelium underground. They communicate with plants and share water and nutrients in exchange for food.
Connection, communication, and community.
“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.
Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”
-Bruce Lee
You leave a mark.
Every where you go, every one you interact with, you impact in some way.
Be thoughtful of your impact.
I love this time of year. My neighborhood is illuminated with all the incredible colors of fall. Every corner is an explosion of color.
I'm just soaking it all in.
Happy fall y'all!
Life isn't easy. The struggle is an inherent aspect of life. It's the fuel.
When I'm having a hard time, when I want to give up, I think about everything that had to happen for me to get here. The eons of stars producing and dispersing all the atoms that make up my body and all the beauty in this world. The condensing of planets. The formation of water and atmosphere. The billons of plants and animals that struggled and fought, survived and evolved over hundreds of millions of years. The hardships that my ancestors overcame. And then, I remember what it is that I'm doing. I'm fighting the good fight. I'm living.
Oh how the green creeps in.
It's easy to forget how temporary our creations are. How quickly nature overtakes the neglected. How many ancient cities are completely swallowed by the green?
Don't forget. All we have is now.
What secrets does the giant hold?
What knowledge lies within its roots?
What could you learn, if you only stopped to listen?
Happy Indigenous People's Day!
You are on native land.
I found these beautiful mushrooms on the Olympic Peninsula in WA. The native tribes of the region are The Lower Elwha Klallam, Jamestown S'Klallam, Port Gamble S'Klallam, Skokomish, Quinault, Hoh, Quileute, and Makah.

I didn't get a chance to take my camera to Tabor Dance Party this summer.
If anyone wants to wiggle with lights while I take pictures, HMU!

Happy Saturday!
"Do you realize, that the sun doesn't go down. It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round."

Four mossy trees holding mossy hands.
There is so much magic in the Olympic National Forest.
I'm looking forward to my next trip up there.
I love the way this tree is growing over the nurse log.
Nurse logs are common in the Olympic National Forest.
Almost the end of sunflower season!
I hope y'all got a chance to get out and enjoy them.
If not, there's always next year!

Spooky clouds rolling in like waves on a warm fall evening in Oregon.
Sometimes you just have to pull over and observe the beauty, day or night.
I hope your week is off to a great start!
Fall colors at Laurelhurst Park in Portland.
I love this season. I love this city.
I love this life.
