It’s official we will be back!!!
Mini Rollers will recommence on
Wednesday the 2nd of feb!
Our first night will be an unstructured skate session, very different to our normal weekly classes.
This will allow us to check all necessary paperwork has been completed. To check all equipment is well fitting and safe, and conduct required assessments of skaters.
Please come along between 4.30-6 to enrol and have a roll 🙂

Hi everyone!
Whilst restrictions are due to relax a bit this weekend, we will unfortunately not be able to resume junior skating this year.
A cap on numbers within the stadium, reduced coaching availability and the increased workload to ensure we are covid safe means that we can't run sessions to a standard that we are happy with.
We can’t wait to roll again but we need to be able to ensure it’s done in a safe and fun way!

It’s official we will be allowed to return!
Unfortunately due to the extremely late notice we won’t be able to skate tomorrow the 4th but we will be back on wheels on the 11th!
Masks are mandatory and we are capped at 100 in the stadium but we will be back!

Still waiting on confirmation but it doesn’t look like we will be allowed to return to skating tomorrow 😞
Our fingers and toes are crossed but as the new easing of restrictions table reads the same as last time only organised ‘sports’ can return not recreational activities 🤷‍♀️
If we can return you will hear us squealing with excitement, but also we will post again amending the information.

And we have had confirmation we can return to skate under the new restrictions coming into effect on Friday!

We will be limited to 50 people in the stadium so we ask you arrive on time for your session and do not enter any earlier.

Skating will run for 50 minutes to allow us time to get the kids packed up and have everyone out the door before we sanatise and prepare for the next group.

Please be respectful of the guidelines we are bound to run by and remember it’s not our decisions we are nearly following the directive and the YMCA’s requirements

Hi All!
Just an update on where we stand with the new restriction changes.

Sadly Minirollers and Skate High cannot take place under the new level of restrictions.

As of midnight tonight, the regulations are as follows:

Indoor physical recreation & sport:
• Open
• Density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm
• Maximum venue capacity 150, including no more than 50 indoors
• Maximum group size: 10 people indoors, 20 outdoors

Community sport
• Open for all ages, training and competition
• Cannot travel into metropolitan Melbourne for community sport
• Limited to minimum number of people required to participate in and facilitate the activity and must be within venue caps above

After many conversations with the YMCA (the managers of the stadium) and multiple calls to the covid hotline the clarification that we are classed as indoor physical recreation and not community sport.

If restrictions are eased further we will reassess and advise you all how we plan to return.

Due to the current restrictions on indoor sports, as announced and mandated by the government we can not skate 😞
As soon as we can return we will announce the plan we have for a return to skating, but untill then unfortunately we can’t 😞

Due to the recently developed committee covid safe plan personal protective equipment can not be loaned out at this stage.
Skaters will require their own helmet and protection pads.
Our insurance requires head, wrist, elbow and knee protection be worn.
We will have skate available for use but not protective equipment.

Make sure to mark in your diaries enrolment day on Wednesday 27th of Jan!
Come along to meet all our junior coaches and rollers and sort out all the pesky paperwork and payments.
