Bodmin Community First Responders
A team of volunteer ambulance first responders based in Bodmin. This page is not for getting help. Always call 999 in an emergency.
We provide emergency 999 response to the town, and often to other communities across mid-Cornwall.
In June 2024 your local volunteer responders attended nine 999 calls.
Additionally two off-duty responders 1x cardiac arrest alert in the area via GoodSAM.
Bodmin Community First Responders need your help!
We are fundraising to purchase, and support the running and maintenance of a new Response Car for our volunteers answering 999 calls for medical, trauma and falls emergencies in the town and surrounding villages/towns.
Our volunteer scheme is completely charity funded, we do not recieve financial support/money from the NHS Ambulance Service for anything other than basic medical equipment.
Historically our responders used their own personal car, with no reimbursement fuel and mileage. We are currently trialling an very old ex-service vehicle (fuel funded by the volunteers) which is unlikely to be usable for much longer
Your support through donations on gofundme would be greatly appreciated, and we'd also love to hear from anyone you can help....... Car sponsorship from car sales places, garages willing to support with MOT/Servicing, businesses who can help with support, fundraising etc please do contact me: [email protected]
