This Lemon Butter Barramundi recipe takes only takes 20mins and you’re good to go! 🤣

Wondering where to get the barramundi? Look no further, head over to your nearest Supa Save to get them today! 🏃‍♂️💨

Ingredients:
• 1 Barramundi Portion
• 1 tsp Sea Salt
• ½ tsp Paprika
• 1 tsp Garlic powder
• ½ tsp of Ground Ginger
• 1 tsp Onion powder
• 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter, melted
• Juice & Zest from 1 Lemon
• 2 tbsp Olive Oil (for frying)
• A handful of Cilantro, chopped

Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, lemon juice & lemon zest. Stir well & set aside.
3. In a separate bowl, combine salt, paprika, garlic powder & onion powder. Use paper towels to pat dry excess moisture from barramundi, add it into the spice mixture. Coat well.
4. Heat pan, add olive oil & pan fry barramundi over medium high heat. Cook each side until lightly browned, drizzle half of the lemon butter sauce & continue to cook till browned on both sides.
5. Drizzle the remaining lemon butter sau e & garnish with cilantro. Serve hot & enjoy!

A delicious and easy treat to make with our barramundi 🐟 and perfect for toddlers or children - Barra Egg Muffin! 👶

Ingredients (Serves 6):
100g Barra slices
½ cup Baby Pasta
4 Eggs
50ml Fresh Milk
1 tsp Butter
1 stalk Spinach
½ cup Frozen Vegetables
¼ cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Method:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C.
2. Boil a pot of water, enough to cook the baby pasta. Drain and set aside.
3. Steam the Barramundi slices on high heat for 10 minutes.
4. Flake the steamed fish. Set aside.
5. Whisk the eggs and milk together until light and fluffy.
6. Use the butter to lightly coat a muffin pan. Pour the egg mixture equally into each muffin mould until about half-filled.
7. Place about 1 tablespoon of cooked baby pasta and Barramundi flakes into each muffin mould.
8. Finely chop the washed spinach leaves and place about 1 tablespoon of it into each muffin mould.
9. Place 1 tablespoon of frozen vegetables into each mould.
10. Use a spoon to press the vegetables down so that they are covered by the egg mixture. Add shredded cheddar cheese equally to each mould.
11. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool before serving.

Our fish is extremely clean-tasting and there is absolutely no muddy-taste to it, hence making it very suitable to be prepared and cooked in many different ways!

Throw on your aprons and have a fun time recreating this today! 🧡

Barramundi Tofu

Ingredients
1 packet Kuhlbarra Premium Barramundi
200g minced meat
2 shallots
20g carrot
2 nos quail eggs
Few stalk Spring onions
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tbsp soy sauce
Dash of white pepper
Tofu puff
Tau kwa

For the gravy
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 teaspoon fermented bean paste
1 teaspoon sugar or to taste
Dash of white pepper
200ml water
2 tablespoons cornstarch solution
A little oil

Steps:
1. In a blender add 1 piece of barramundi, 2 shallots, 20g carrot, 2 nos quail eggs, a few stalks of spring onions, and blend to a smooth paste.
2. Add 200g minced meat, 1 teaspoon sugar, 2 tbsp soy sauce, and a dash of white pepper to the fish paste.
3. Stuff the tofu puff and tau kwa with fish paste.
4. When all are done, deep fry or steam at 180C for about 10 minutes till done.
5. To make the sauce, heat up the oil and fry garlic. Add the bean paste, oyster sauce, and water. Bring to boil, then add sugar and pepper. Add the cornstarch solution to thicken.
6. To serve, simmer all the ingredients in the gravy or simply ladle gravy over the prepared ingredients.

What a crunchy bite! 🤤

Deep fried sliced barramundi makes a great CNY snacks🧧 Check out this recipe below to recreate this dish! 🐟

RECIPE
Spring Blossom (花开富贵)

Ingredients:
8 slices Kuhlbarra barramundi
Salt and pepper, to taste
30g cornstarch + 10g custard powder (mix together)

Garnish:
Cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices

Method:
1) Make a few horizontal cuts on each sliced fish , with the skin intact (Note: Do NOT cut through).
2) Heat up a pot of oil for deep frying.
3) Season fish with salt and pepper, then dust with cornstarch mixture. Shake off excess flour.
4) Curl the fish to shape like a flower. Use chopsticks to hold the fish and dip into the hot oil (continue to hold for 10 secs before releasing).
5) Fry for a minute and remove to drain excess oil.
6) Garnish and serve with tomato sauce at the side.

Serve up this stunning Sweet & Sour Barramundi this Chinese New Year and impress all your guests! 🐟🌟

Sweet & Sour Barramundi

Preparation time: 15mins
Cooking time: 15mins
Serves: 4 pax
Difficulty: easy

Ingredients:
• 500g Barramundi, sliced
• 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
• 2 teaspoons Ground Ginger
• 4 tablespoons Cornstarch
• 1 Can Pineapple Chunks, drained
• 2 tablespoons Apple Cider
• 4 tablespoons Ketchup
• 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
• Cooking oil for deep frying
• 1/2 Brown Onion, sliced
• 1 Red Bell Pepper, cut into 1" chunks
• 1 Yellow Bell Pepper, cut into 1" chunks

Instructions:
1. Season the fish with salt & ginger, then coat the fish with cornstarch & set aside.
2. Heat pan over high heat. Add enough oil for deep frying of fish. Add the sliced fish over high heat & fry till golden brown.
3. Drain the fish & set aside.
4. To make the sweet & sour sauce, whisk together the apple cider, brown sugar & ketchup. Heat the pan with some oil, fry the brown onions & bell peppers for 1min. Then add pineapple, the sauce mixture & the fried fish, mix till well combined.
5. Serve hot & enjoy!
