A new custom piece I'm working on for a homie across the country - phase one of the process - the drawing of course 🧚🏼‍♀️

The drawing for a custom piece I'm making is almost done. Thank goodness I've been getting work done now that the situation at my brick & mortar job has gotten super intense.

Shout out to my awesome boyfriend for rescuing this quirky, little round table for me from his neighbor's trash. For about a year, i was doing all my art on furniture i had rescued & redecorated. They were reclaimed off the sides of roads or random trash heaps & reintegrated back into the world of the not only kept & used, but also the asthetically awesome ;) This has been a sanity saver of a piece in progress as i've been sick for days. Luckily, when you're painting, there's a hell of a lot more wait time, at least during step 1, than when markers are the main image creating tool. The table has 2 cute, triangular drawers i haven't yet decided how to incorporate into the larger flow of the piece, but not being overly sure of most keeps me humble, open, & mindful .

Happy 2022 Everyone! Hope you all have an exciting, fufilling, & healthy new year. i took blacklight snaps of all the drawings i have in progress for the next batch of pieces coming up - this is just the first little taste of what i have in store for you & your psychedelic sensibilities this year!

What's 💜 Got to Do with Orwell? - Part of my Project Pandemic Collection, measuring 14" x 14"x 3/4", this blacklight responsive, multimedia piece includes a dried, unbloomed carnation, assorted bottle caps, & 2 separate original drawings, finished with a glossy epoxy on a piece of wood repurposed after completing it's dharma as a piece of the handmade bed frame passed down to me from my aunt in all but marriage over a decade ago.

So according to HAL {the all mighty algorithm lol} I'm supposed to try to solicit reviews, so if you've ever stopped by my pop up shop at a party or a festival, or perhaps saw my guitar hanging in the Palm pre-covid, or if you've ever been a visitor to the projects in progress acid trip that visually is my apt, & you feel like giving my art a review, that would rock, and satiate HAL's voracious appetite for engagements. 🤣🧚‍♀️🤣
