Kasunod ng sinagawang validation at monitoring kahapon ng Ministry of Social Services and Development sa pakikipag coordinasyon sa Barangay Local Government Unit ng Batulawan, Namahagi ng family food pack ang MSSD sa mga lubhang apektado ng matinding pagbaha sa SGA.

Mahigit tatlong at isa (301) na pamilya ang nakatanggap ng family food pack mula sa sitio ng Punol sa Barangay Batulawan, Malidegao. Ang bawat pamilya ay binigyan ng 25 kilo ng bigas at food pack na naglalaman ng of 12 packs of instant coffee, 3 cans of corned beef, 3 cans of tuna and 6 cans of sardines.

Ang nasabing pamamahagi ng tulong ay paunang tulong pa lamang sa mga apektado ng pagbaha magbibigay din ng sleeping kits at trapal sa mga IDPs ngayong araw.

Magbibigay din ang MSSD ng kaparehong tulong sa mga lubhang apektado ng baha sa mga Barangay ng Ligawasan at Tugunan.

𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚 - Simultaneous Training-Workshop for Bangsamoro Sagip Kabuhayan (BSK) and Unlad Pamilyang Bangsamoro Program (UPBP) is currently on-going since June 18 and will be concluded on June 25, 2024.

A total of 200 BSK Beneficiaries and 253 Unlad Scale-up recipients are expected to participate on a 2-day Training-Workshop. In total, 453 beneficiaries will undergo through different trainings that includes "Financial Literacy", "Basic Bookkeeping" "Entrepreneurial Mind-setting and Product Costing and Pricing for Micro-entrepreneurs", Intergrated Farming System and Pest Management", "Livestock Production and Ruminant Diseases and Management ".

The Ministry of Social Welfare and Development partnered with Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism and Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform to provide the best skills and knowledge that suits to the proposed project and needs of beneficiaries.

Unlad Pamilyang Bangsamoro Program is one of the banner programs of MSSD in response to addressing the poverty incident in BARMM region which also aims to alleviate the current condition of the vulnerable sectors in the Bangsamoro..

In addition, these 200 BSK Beneficiaries already received their 15,000 pesos seed capital on the last week of May, while the 253 Scale-up beneficiaries have also received their 20,000 pesos additional capital.

Activities was spearhead by MSSD SGA- PSWDO Haron D. Amer, RSW, MPA together with the MSWDOs of the 8 municipalities of Special Geographic Area..

Further more, MSSD staff will conduct monitoring and home visits to the beneficiaries as part of the case-management process.

𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮 — In collaboration with the office of Member of Parliament Mohammad Kellie Antao, on June 14, 2024 a total of 127 Indigent beneficiaries in Ligawasan and Barangay Batulawan, Fort Pikit and Nalapaan in Malidegao received their financial assistance educational assistance under the Transitional Development Impact Funds of 2023 (TDIF)

84 high school students under the Angat Bangsamoro: Kabataan Tungo sa Karunungan (ABaKa) received 3,000 pesos each, 15 indigent orphans under Kupkop Program received 5,000 pesos each while 20 indigent family heads were also provided with 15,000 pesos seed capital under the Bangsamoro Sagip Kabuhayan Program bringing the total of 127 recipients..

Last year, these target beneficiaries were carefully validated by the MSSD staff.
Beneficiaries who successfully passed the application process and made it to the final list were also informed to submit the needed documents as required by the program guidelines.

The said payout activity were spearheaded by the MSSD SGA PSWDO Haron D. Amer, RSW together with MP Mohammad Kellie Antao. Present also during the activity were MSSD Tugunan Acting MSWDO Baimona U. Dalgan and some of the MSSD Staff from the SGA Field Office.

Meanwhile, simultaneous payouts under the program will be set in the following days..

A total of 100 Senior Citizens Indigenous People received free medical consultation and free medicines in Barangay Tamped, Barangay Simone and Barangay Simbuhay in a recently concluded medical mission. This medical mission was made possible in partnership with Infirmary of MSU Maguindanao Head Dr.
Firkhan A. Estrella in coordination with the BLGU of Barangay Tamped.

IPs in the said barangays is one of the underserved sectors in the community. The Ministry is committed to its mandate to providing the needs of the underprivileged sectors and communities accross the Bangsamoro Region..

In addition to free medicine, the 100 recipients were also provided with family food packs which consist of 25 kilograms of rice, 3 cans of tuna, 3 cans of conred beef, 6 cans of sardines and 10 packs of instant coffee..

Present during the activity were Director General Atty. Mohamad Muktadir Ahmad Estrella, PSWDO Haron D. Amer, RSW, MSWDO-Old Kaabakan Hyri-Nur R. Pamikirin, RSW, SWO-I Gemma Alforo, Municipal Links, Barangay Midwife, Parasocial Workers and Barangay Health Workers.

𝗠𝗦𝗦𝗗 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗗𝗥𝗥𝗠 || The Ministry of Social Services and Development - Special Geographic Area facilitated a Training-Orientation on Basic Life Support for a total of 52 participants composed of Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management (BDRRM) and Para-Social Workers from 13 Barangays of Midsayap 1 and 2, Special Geographic Area today March 26, 2024 held at Covered Court, Kadigasan, Midsayap, Special Geographic Area.

Said activity is in line with programs and services of the Ministry under Disaster Risk Management Division (DRMD) which promotes safety and preparedness of every bangsamoro family. Thus, MSSD-SGA had invited Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, Midsayap, Cotabato through its officers namely Rhea Batislaong, Edgar Dacillo, Rynell Ventura and Love Heart B. Sabanal who discussed Basic Life Support (BLS) and oriented the participants on proper utilization of Emergency Go Bag which also includes simulation activities in case of emergencies such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for infants and adults, use of bleeding control kits, etc.

Present during the activity were MSSD SGA Field Office PSWDO Haron D. Amer, AOV Benladin C. Maas, MSWDO Alpha Jyan F. Aras, and Cluster Presidents Hon. Saiden A. Alim of Cluster 2 and Hon. Fatima A. Mokamad of Cluster 1.

Moreover, MSSD distributed Emergency Go Bags to 52 Participants that shall be utilized by the Barangay incase of emergency.

In a successfully concluded orientation on Women Empowerment, 46 women from the 22 barangays of Pikit and 4 from Aleosan participated in the activity. The said program is inline with the annual celebration of the Women's Month with the theme: Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patunayan!"

Present during the activity was Ustadh Mohalidin S. Molilis who imparted his knowledge and discussed about "Women in Islam". Meanwhile, Umayrah G. Yusof - SGA Women Welfare Program Focal was also in attendance to present about women empowerment..

𝐌𝐒𝐒𝐃 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐀𝐓𝐇 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐅 𝐁𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐄 𝐅𝐄𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐒 || In celebration of Women’s Month 2024 with the theme: “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patunayan”, the Ministry of Social Services and Development - Special Geographic Area Field Office Midsayap facilitated an oath taking ceremony of Building Alliances for Bangsamoro Actions towards Women’s Empowerment (BABAE) Federation from Midsayap Clusters 1 and 2, Special Geographic Area.

The activity was started with a motorcade where BABAE Organization Chapters from Midsayap Cluster 2 began the motorcade from Barangay Olandang, Midsayap Cluster 2, SGA assisted by the 34thIB, 11th Infantry Division, PA headed by their Commanding Officer Rey C. Rico while BABAE Organization Chapters from Midsayap Cluster 1 started at Barangay Kapinpilan, Midsayap Cluster 1, SGA assisted by Joint Peace and Security Team (JPST) headed by their commanding officer PMSG Arvie V. Armada which both were headed to Barangay Kadingilan, Midsayap 2, SGA where the activity will be held.

Present on the activity were MSSD-SGA Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Haron D. Amer whom in his speech shared the important role of Women in their Community, the Bangsamoro region and in Nation Building; MSSD-SGA Women Focal Sittie Umayrah G. Yusof were also present who gave an emphasis about psychological first aid to the BABAE Organizations; MSSD SGA Midsayap Field Office MSWDO Alpha Jyan F. Aras who expressed her heartfelt message to the invaluable support of different organizations on the activity and program implementation of the ministry as a whole; Cluster President of Midsayap 1 Hon. Fatima A. Mokamad who served as the Guest and Speaker and shared an inspirational message from her experience as a woman leader; Cluster President of Midsayap 2 Hon. Saiden A. Alim who gave his warm welcome to the participants and guests in his remarks; Barangay Chairpersons of Midsayap Clusters 1 and 2 Hon. Nacil Guintem from Brgy Central Labas whom in his speech, he shared his full support to the Ministry, Hon. Jasmin Mohamad from Brgy Kadigasan, Hon. Benjamin Abpi from Brgy Nabalawag, Hon. Toks Pulalon from Brgy Tugal, and other Barangay Officials who represented the rest of thirteen (13) Barangays of Midsayap, Special Geographic Area.

Moreover, the BABAE federation officers of Midsayap cluster 1 and 2 composed of President, V-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Brgy Representatives had officially made their oath facilitated by PSWDO Haron D. Amer. Further, BABAE federation president of Midsayap cluster 2 expressed her gratitude in her speech as she emphasized the significant role of women in community and in political representations in terms of decision making.

Thus, MSSD distributed at least twenty-five (25) hygiene kits to some of woman participants who attended the activity.

The activity was held on March 20, 2024 at Covered Court, Barangay Kadingilan, Midsayap, Special Geographic Area.

Raissa Jajurie, our Minister and Deputy Floor Leader of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority Parliament, for her well-deserved recognition as a recipient of the esteemed 2024 Inquirer Women of Power Awards by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, which took place on March 11, 2024, at Seda Hotel, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila. Her achievement not only celebrates her excellence as an individual but as an advocate of women empowerment which serves as a beacon of inspiration for women across the Bangsamoro region and the entire nation, showcasing the limitless potential and contributions of empowered women in leadership roles.

This recognition was in line with the observance of this year’s National Women’s Month, wherein the Philippine Daily Inquirer honored 38 empowered women from various fields across the country who have displayed exemplary leadership and made impactful contributions in government service, business, sports, entertainment, arts, and community empowerment.

The selection process was conducted by an internal board of senior editors and executives of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, based on criteria including professional accomplishments in both public and private sectors, fostering innovation and creativity, impactful mentorship or educational empowerment, advocacy for environmental sustainability and community welfare, advancement of inclusivity and diversity, adept management of change or crisis, and groundbreaking contributions in technology or digital realms.

At the event, Minister Jajurie was recognized for her remarkable leadership in heading one of the Bangsamoro Government's frontline agencies – the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD).

Her dedication to public service, which uplifted and transformed Bangsamoro lives, was driven by people-oriented leadership that encompassed a meaningful sense of purpose. Her commitment to social justice fueled her various legislative and developmental initiatives, contributing to the improved socio-political, legislative, and developmental landscape of the Bangsamoro region. Moreover, her contributions paved the way not only for the establishment of a new government entity but also for the empowerment of Bangsamoro communities and the sustainability of the gains of the peace process.

In a statement, Minister Jajurie also gave recognition to the workforce of MSSD and the Bangsamoro Government. “Ang award na ito ay hindi lamang sa akin kundi sa MSSD. Kinilala din ng award na ito ang Bangsamoro,” said Minister Jajurie.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: 𝗠𝗦𝗦𝗗 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀' 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

As part of the annual activity in relation to the program implementation, The Ministry of Social Services and Development conducted a 1 day Stakeholders’ Consultation Meeting-Workshop yesterday (March 4, 2024) at Eba’s Kamayan Resto, Midsayap North Cotabato.

The said consultation of stakeholders’ were attended by Barangay local government unit and SGADA representatives, School Administrator, Civil Society Organization, Child Development Workers, Barangay Health Workers, Indigenous People representative, Women sector, Persons with Disability Sector, Older Person representative, Child and Youth representative and beneficiaries of MSSD’s regular programs like Unlad Pamilyang Bangsamoro Program, Kalingan Program, Kupkop Program and Angat Bangsamoro Kabataasn Tungo sa Karungunan Program.

Each representative has given enough time to share their thoughts and insight with regard to the program implementation in the ground. Haron D. Amer, RSW - PSWDO of MSSD SGA in his message, “this consultation is very important to the ministry because through this, we will be able to hear from you, your comments and suggestions that will further improve the programs we are implementing”.

Attendees during this activity also commend the MSSD SGA as the only ministry that conducts consultation annually which includes the BLGU and representatives from different sectors.
