It’s Friday night and we are headed to another wet football game☔️.
But…I STILL tried something! We did a little Christmas shopping (yes, I said that) and then went to eat at “that fish place”, Jeff said.

I meant to take a before pic of my food, but I just got too excited lol 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Anyway, I went to “the ladies room” bc my brain makes me visit one EVERYWHERE I go. This particular place was similar to Newk’s, having the hand washing station outside of the bathroom. But, Newk’s has a sink in the room of resting and just outside. The establishment where we dined this evening only had one outside of the toilet area. My thoughts were crazy! What if you got a little som som on your hand before leaving the stall? You gotta handle the door handle before washing that hand. I won’t even mention the microorganisms on the MEN’s door handle🤦🏼‍♀️🤮.
Me and the smart guy ordered. I didn’t want anything fried, so I just settled for something bacon wrapped, Jesus help me!
Bacon wrapped grilled shrimp, cheese grits, and sweet potato fries. We had good conversation and then we just waited. It wasn’t crowded, but good business and seemed to be plenty of workers.

Wait, ok here it comes.

Plump shrimp wrapped tightly in bacon. The grits had been sitting but, they were warm and fine, though they kept the shape of the bowl. Oh, but the sweet potato fries…the crunch. The sweet. The added salt. YUMMO! The shrimp, they were really good after I unwrapped the soggy bacon off of each skewered, bite sized, beauty.

The service:

Youngish girl. Wasn’t all too confident in the specials on the board. The smart guy ordered a salad as a side, but she didn’t tell him if it was prepared and brought or if he just helped himself to the veggie bar. I told him to go because I used my clues and the waitress didn’t ask what kind of dressing he wanted. He went. We prayed. We are. She busily serviced other customers. We are some more. We chatted. We waited for her to visit. We piled our napkins in our plates, code for…we are finished and would like the check now. I went to wash the bacon wrapped residue off my hands, code for…we are finished and would like the check now. The smart guy washed his, again, code for…we are finished and would like the check now.

Well, we just took matters in our own fresh and clean hands, to the register we went.

Idk what I was thinking! Tonight is Friday, my “final” Friday of the summer😞. Soooo, what’s a teacher to do? Come watch me TRY to make a teacher lanyard. Idk if it will be fun or not, but you can come watch, lol.

Set an alarm!!!! Tomorrow night at 9:30pm, we are GETTING LOST and we want y’all to come with us!!!
