PAPER HOUSES
How about making a paper village? For today’s live demo on YouTube we made paper houses 🏡 When we’re all stuck at home, this is a great opportunity to notice the architectural details in your own neighborhood or on your own house. Use this as a chance to think about what makes a home inviting on the outside and then use our templates to design your perfect house! I have three free templates on the blog for this activity here https://babbledabbledo.com/design-for-kids-paper-houses/ and if you fall in love with it there’s 13 more templates available in a paper village printable pack in my shop here: https://babble-dabble-do.myshopify.com/products/paper-village-templates.

Fun science activities. If anyone local wants a tray, I can lend one.
I've popped all TEN investigations into one post!
If you missed these, they are very simple ( but still fun ) science investigations you can do at home or in school. They mostly use just paper and a few other things you probably have around the house.
Let me know if you try any!

Wonderful article by Vince Gowmon on Flow State: https://www.vincegowmon.com/let-children-play-and-they-remain-in-a-state-of-flow/
About the importance of play. A bit wiffly in places, but the essence of it is true; children are primed to learn, and we don't need to do very much a lot of the time. At Fox Bay School, we recently got hours of learning out of four old landrover tyres in the yard. I'm using some of this time to think about other things we can have outside to create play opportunities.
Let Children Play and they Remain in a State of Flow ~ They Move with the Intelligence of Life - Vince Gowmon Letting children play allows them to remain in a state of flow. This is incredibly vital given that flow is the natural state of life. Nature does not force, rather it moves as a young child moves, instinctually, with the intelligence of the whole guiding it through quiet whispers and nudges. It sim...
Good afternoon home learners. Hope the home schooling is going well. Some people have asked me about topic work, and where to start with choosing something to learn about. I'm a committed child-centred educator, so starting with something that interests you is great, but when you have the whole of human knowledge to choose from, it can be a bit daunting! These Dorling Kindersley booklets are good to get you started. Pick a subject area and work in from there. Dig deeper, or spread wider; it's your choice. https://www.dk.com/uk/information/home-learning-for-kids/?fbclid=IwAR0E__iytUApC1Q30DecTXJhaacuwZLQ-7qEehwjgT_eLxlab9GyJxW7Luk

Good evening everyone. Thanks for liking my page. I will be here at 10.30 on Monday if anyone has any questions or wants any ideas. If you want to know what the subjunctive or an adverbial is, I might need to consult Carol Vorderman, but I'm good for most other. things. Have a peaceful weekend, Cx
Good advice here. I will post some links to some internet safety activities soon.
Good morning 🌞🌞 I have set up this page to help support families and individuals on their home learning journey. A lot of links to great resources are coming my way, so I'll pop them here. It's not a school initiative, just something that I think could be helpful.
I will be on here between 10.30 and 12.00 each day to answer any questions if I can. PM or post on here.
