HERE IT IS 👉 the one thing I wish I had done 5 years ago when I started my business is create a way to build an email list! Luckily, it’s not too late…it’s never too late. With the rise of DM’s, Snaps, videos, slacks, texts, etc…email may seem like an old-school way of communicating and getting your message or service out there but do you know the #1 reason you should?! YOU OWN YOUR EMAIL LIST. You don’t own your followers on social media. If the head honchos of any social media platform decided to say bye-bye (or if you got hacked…here’s a little side-note to say make sure your two-factor authentication is set up!), the followers you worked so hard to attract to your accounts would be gone. BUT if you are able to create an email list of the people who are really into what you are doing - you know, the people who want updates, tips, and continued connection with you…well, that list is yours. You own it (obviously you don’t own the people and they can unsubscribe at any time, but you get what i”m saying). So if you own a business or are starting a business, make email a priority too! ✨Don’t delete your video mess-ups, do this instead! 👇Did you know you don’t have to get your WHOLE video perfect in one shot? The last video I did was a mix of 4 videos because let’s face it, it can be hard to knock out a video without the occasional brain fart that ends in you yelling profanity. BUT what do you do when the first part was SOO good?! Well I’m here to tell you, DON’T delete it! You can easily edit and splice the good parts of your videos together to make one cohesive video! AND my favorite app to do so is InShot (check out the quick how-to above). *SIDE NOTE - Instagram’s video editing tools are also pretty good! But if you plan on using your video on other platforms, InShot is awesome!
