Friday breakfast always hits different than the other days of the week. Today I made my version of Eggs Florentine toast topped with chili onion crunch and lots of dill. This dish comes together so quickly and I can make about 4 at a time in my skillet if I’m hosting friends for brunch. And, if you haven’t tried the chili crunch, this is your sign to go buy some🛒 Check out the recipe below and have a great Friday!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 cups of spinach
Olive oil (as needed)
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1 egg
1 slice of sourdough bread (toasted)
1 tbsp TJ’s chili onion crunch
1 tbsp fresh dill
Salt/pepper (as needed)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In a skillet over medium heat, add a little olive oil and sauté the spinach until tender. Then add the garlic and cook for another minute. Next, make a little indent in the cooked spinach mound and crack an egg in the middle. Cover the pan for a few minutes and let the egg cook. Once the egg is cooked to your liking, transfer the spinach and egg to your sourdough toast. Top toast with salt/pepper, chili onion crunch, and dill. Enjoy!

Reception followed the ceremony where we had a private dinner filled with beautiful flowers from 🌸 We obviously had to have for our wedding favors and a cake. The rest of the night was filled with toasts, food, dancing, and a whole lot of fun💃🏼

Our ceremony was held on the rooftop of the hotel with a gorgeous NYC backdrop. Our original wedding was on a boat so I definitely wanted some sort of outdoor ceremony and was perfect. My cousin was our officiant and my mom walked me down the aisle🖤
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Even though our day was smaller than originally planned, everything was amazing and Corey and I both felt so lucky to share this day with a small group of family and friends.

The first look was one of my favorite parts of our wedding day. Swipe to see Corey’s reaction seeing me in my dress for the first time🖤
Leading up to the wedding I kept telling him I think he’s gonna cry when he sees me in my dress. But, in true Corey form he kept it together 😂 I think we were both so excited and nervous for this day we couldn’t help but smile and laugh.

Happy 4th of July everyone! Wishing you a wonderful Sunday filled with friends, family, and lots of food :) Sharing this sweet and savory broccoli salad recipe for anyone who needs a last minute side dish. Most times this salad has bacon in it, but I didn’t have any on hand and it still turned out just as good. There is just something about this sweet salad that I can’t get enough of 😋 Check out the recipe below⚡️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
YOU NEED:
1 head of broccoli, chopped into pieces
1/2 red onion, diced
1/2 cup rasins
1/4 cup crushed almonds
1/2 cup mayonnaise (vegan or regular)
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp white vinegar
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In a medium bowl add the broccoli, red onion, raisins, and crushed almonds and set aside. Prepared dressing by mixing the mayonnaise, sugar, and white vinegar until combined. Stir into the salad ingredients.
Let the salad chill in the fridge for a few hours - overnight is best if you have the time!

Since I shared my favorite Bloody Mary from yesterday, I had to give some love to their AMAZING buttermilk pancakes. They are so perfect AND are a must-order at Phoenicia Diner, along with the Bloody Mary obviously. Save this post and let me know if you take a trip upstate to dine at this perfect little diner✌🏻

01/07/2021

This is the best Bloody Mary I’ve EVER had and its from in upstate NY. A perfect Bloody Mary is hard to find, but this one checks all the boxes and is actually really delicious. It could be the Vly Creek Vodka or the Migliorelli Tomato juice - one thing’s for sure this is the brunch drink I’m alwayssss craving!

Yesterday was my first wedding dress fitting back at in NYC! Because our wedding has been delayed a few times I was so nervous this dress wouldn’t fit anymore since it’s been over a year! But all went well & I’m super excited for our wedding this May. Overall the whole first fitting experience was great & the ladies at Pronovias made me feel extra safe with all of their COVID precautions 🖤

Any other brides out there? 👰‍♀️💍⚡️

Sharing some local business love today! has become a new favorite jersey city spot for all the Italian eats. This here is the #9 stacked with mortadella, soppressata, provolone, roasted peppers, arugula, olive oil & vinegar. SO GOOD! We’ve also tried the #1 (delishhh) & #14 (with fried chicken cutlet) and would definitely order those again.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Be sure to check out the prepared foods like the meatballs or chicken parm. The meatballs honestly gave Carbone’s meatballs a run for their money! I only wish we still lived in Hamilton Park so I could pick up a sandwich and an ice cream from all within walking distance from each other🍦
P.S. if you are sensitive to dairy like I am, always gotta take my digestive enzymes from .co when I’m getting down with some cheese 🧀 Works like a charm✨
