Did you know Anxiety is an umbrella term that includes various conditions, including;
Social Anxiety, General Anxiety, OCD and Panic?
During Mental Health Awareness Week 2023, we are challenged to reflect on Anxiety and how it affects ourselves, our families and our colleagues.
We are all touch by anxiety in one way or another, either personally or within our circle of influence, but how much do you understand the term?
This post from CAMHS Professionals highlights some challenges faced by Anxiety sufferers and we’re delighted to share it on their behalf.
Stay tuned for more insight this week.
This popular workshop is designed to help parents and carers identify the warning signs of anxiety in their children, and empower them to take positive steps to help reduce the impact this condition has on their families.

Things you can do to cool someone down
If someone has heat exhaustion, follow these 4 steps:
Move them to a cool place.
Get them to lie down and raise their feet slightly.
Get them to drink plenty of water. Sports or rehydration drinks are OK.
Cool their skin – spray or sponge them with cool (not too cold) water and fan them. Cold packs (not ice packs) around the armpits or neck are good, too.
Stay with them until they're better.
They should start to cool down and feel better within 30 minutes.
Stay safe from all at Crusaider First Aid and Mental Health & Wellbeing
Check for signs of heat exhaustion
The signs of heat exhaustion include:
- a headache
- dizziness and confusion
- loss of appetite and feeling sick
- excessive sweating and pale, clammy skin
- cramps in the arms, legs and stomach
- fast breathing or pulse
- a high temperature of 38C or above
- being very thirsty
The symptoms are often the same in adults and children, although children may become floppy and sleepy.
Take care everybody in this heatwave. Keep well hydrated, slap on sun screen and cover up, wear a hat. If you have to travel on public transport take water with you. Staying hydrated is the most important thing we can do.
Stay well.
