The first Mashamplani group was made up of Mdu, Tokollo "Magesh", Sbu "MaLawyer" and Pro. The group was disbanded following a financial conflict after the release of their first album.
In 1996, Mdu established "Mashamplani 2" with his dancers, namely Tshidiso, Peppa, Mjakes, and Tumi.
One can never forget Mashamplani's formidable dance moves influenced the whole of Mzansi from Soweto to Gugulethu...
