Rusty has come a long way since joining us in October 2022. When we agreed to take him in, we didn't ask any questions, we just wanted to save his life. He experienced severe anxiety in the crate and around other dogs. We only had a crate and a room full of dogs to offer him. But with consistency and patience, he proved to us what a resilient and smart boy he is. Rusty made tremendous progress. He now loves his crate and sees it as a safe place to relax. He can confidently walk in a room full of dogs, making all the right choices and following direction. I
Although it surprises many, Rusty is still looking for his forever home. Most people have specific wants and needs when adopting, but dogs require more than just cuddles and love. They need guidance, advocates who accept them for who they are, and are ready to make necessary adjustments.
At our rescue, we never sugar coat our dogs. We provide honest information about their needs and what they deserve, ensuring they are matched with the right home. So, when applying to adopt a dog, we encourage you to have a rescue mindset. Adopt to save a life and offer a safe and loving home. Be ready to provide guidance, treat them as a family member, and never give up on them.
