This is a victory for all of Homestead, and I am honored to continue serving as your Mayor.
Your trust and support have been invaluable throughout this journey. Together, we've fought for cleaner streets, stood against overdevelopment, and ensured a higher quality of life for our community. And we're just getting started.
In the coming term, we will continue to put residents first, grow our economy, and build on our record of success. I am committed to leading a healthy and prosperous Homestead, and I can't do it without you.
Thank you for making your voice heard and for believing in our vision for Homestead. Here's to a brighter future for all of us!

Homestead Early Voting is UNDERWAY. You can vote early today, tomorrow, and Saturday:
- Today and tomorrow, Friday 9/29, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
I've always stood up to high-density development.
Why? Because 450 square feet isn't housing. It's warehouse space -- and it puts a strain on our city services and existing residents.
I want to wish you all a happy Independence Day!
Today is our opportunity to come together as a community, celebrate our shared values, and express our gratitude for the freedoms we have worked so hard to secure.
As we celebrate, I hope you’ll join me in remembering the sacrifices made by those who came before us and reflecting on our shared responsibility to uphold freedom and democracy here in Homestead.
From my family to yours, I wish you a safe, joyful Independence Day.
On this Memorial Day, we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their selflessness and courage inspire us.
Today, I encourage you to remember the fallen, honor their memory, and express gratitude to their families. Let us never forget their profound impact.
The results are in, and yesterday, I officially won another term as your Mayor!
I want to thank everyone who helped us spread the word, volunteered with our campaign, or voted in this election. You are the reason we won this race, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have your support.
Through this entire campaign, I’ve talked about my goals for Homestead and my plan to make our city a better place for families, workers, and small businesses.
Because of your support, we can start putting that plan in motion and continue moving Homestead towards a better, more prosperous future.
Thank you for making your voice heard, and thank you so much for being on my team.

For the past two years, I’ve had the honor to serve as Homestead’s mayor. I’ve prioritized public safety, voted against tax increases and overdevelopment, and attracted new jobs and businesses to our community.
I’m ready to continue building on my record of success in my next term, but first, I need you to get out and make your voice heard in this election.
Thank you so much for your support. Let’s win this election!

My commitment to Homestead is rock solid.

WOW: Our opponent admitted last night that campaign contributions from developers are a way to buy his attention! Ridiculous.
As Mayor, I have always welcomed ALL calls, meetings, and emails. Doesn't matter if you voted for me or contributed to me. The only special interest I've ever been beholden to is YOU!
Senator Ana Maria Rodriguez is proud to endorse Mayor Steve Losner.
For years, Senator Rodriguez has been fighting for our community, and she knows real leadership when she sees it. She knows that Steve has always put Homestead residents first, and she knows that he's the right man to lead Homestead forward. That's why she's proud to support his campaign for re-election as Mayor of Homestead.
Stand with Senator Rodriguez. Vote for Steve Losner on or before November 2nd!

Today, I'm proud to announce that I've earned an endorsement from the South Florida Police Benevolent Association!
As Homestead's Mayor, I've always put your safety first. In the 10 years before I was elected, our city only added 8 new police positions. In the last 2 years, I've added 9 new police positions and worked to hire officers who represent our community. And I look forward to working with the SF PBA in my next term to continue making Homestead a safer, more welcoming place for every family.
Labor Day is a time for us to honor and celebrate Homestead’s workforce and all of those who’ve fought for workers’ rights.
While the COVID-19 pandemic has brought about unprecedented challenges, thanks to Homestead’s tireless workforce and commitment to our workers’ well-being, our small businesses have shown incredible resilience and strength.
Today, I look at Homestead, and I see a home for workers, families, and so many thriving businesses. And it’s all thanks to the commitment and dedication of our workforce and the leaders who paved the way for the safe and fair work environments we see today.
Over last weekend, I started putting up campaign signs around Homestead. This small, but important, gesture will show voters in our community exactly what type of public servant you’ll be getting: someone who can swing a hammer just as well as he can wield a pen.
By putting these signs up around our city, I’m making you a promise: in my next term, I’ll be just as committed to taking a hands-on approach, getting out into our community, and delivering real results for Homestead—because that’s what our residents deserve.
🪧✅ Yard signs are here! Show your support for the campaign by requesting one today.

Over the past two years, we’ve made real progress, making Homestead a better city where workers, families, and small businesses can thrive. And if we stand together, I know that we can continue to move our city forward.
In my next term, I’ll keep delivering results for Homestead. But first, I need your help to shape this campaign. Click here to take our priorities survey and make your voice heard: https://s.surveyplanet.com/F4XDPkJQ8
I know that the next two years will be about creating local jobs and improving Homestead’s economy. As your Mayor, I’ve worked with property owners, businesspeople, and local officials to reform zoning and development rules, helping to bring both large and small businesses to our community. Thanks to those efforts, Amazon is bringing 400 new jobs to Homestead at its warehouse facility.
When the COVID-19 crisis hit and threatened the livelihoods of Homestead workers, I ensured we used federal and state funds to protect our residents and keep our economy running.
I’ve worked hard to strengthen our economy and bring new, high-paying jobs to our city. I’m going to continue delivering results for Homestead’s workers, entrepreneurs, and small business owners in my next term. Thank you for your support.
Like you, I’m disturbed by crime in and around Homestead. I understand that a most important part of leading a healthy Homestead is making sure that everyone feels safe in our community.
If we make smart, proactive policy choices, we can keep our neighborhoods safe and give Homestead families the opportunity to thrive.
As your mayor, I’ve made critical investments in Homestead’s public safety. In my first two years in office, I initiated a review of our city budget that allowed us to bring body cameras to our city and hire five additional officers, without raising your taxes.
In my next term, I’ll continue to work with federal, state, county leaders and our local law enforcement officers, to make smart investments in public safety and make sure that our residents are protected.
Together, we can and will build a safer Homestead. Click to learn more about my campaign: https://stevelosner.com
Today marks America’s 245th birthday, and we couldn’t be happier to spend it alongside family and friends after a long and difficult year.
Today, we’re so grateful to live in Homestead and in this country. With the vaccine rollout and our community’s resilience, our family is looking to the future with hope for recovery and renewal.
We truly live in the greatest country in the world, and we couldn’t be prouder to call ourselves Americans.
We wish you a safe and happy Fourth of July!
"These last two years were nothing like I had ever expected. We are mentally prepared for a hurricane, but we were able to survive a pandemic. And I think Homestead is positioned well to be very successful and prosperous.”
Losner Launches Reelection Campaign With what could be called a unique and challenging first term through the ravages of the Covid-19 pandemic, Homestead Mayor Steve Losner held a kick-off campaign event on June 24
As your Mayor, I’ve worked hard to put Homestead on a better, more sustainable path forward. Over the past two years, I worked with Homestead residents to combat overdevelopment, leading the fight for a moratorium on residential building construction and organizing our neighborhoods against irresponsible development projects.
Developers are now realizing that your Mayor demands better on every resident’s behalf, so I’m proud to say that our work is already paying off.
And we’re just getting started. I’m running for re-election to continue moving Homestead forward. My family has lived in Homestead for over a century and, if we act now to prevent overdevelopment and make smart choices for our city, we can make sure that Homestead remains a place that families like mine can call home for generations to come.
We had a wonderful turnout at our Kickoff Event! It was an honor to meet with you and members of our community as we discussed our shared vision for the Future of Homestead. Onward!
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, dads-to-be, and father figures out there!
From day one, I promised to be a mayor that delivered real change for our community; a mayor that would do away with business as usual.
I kept my promise. As your mayor, I’ve worked to bring high-quality jobs to our city and pushed for sustainable development projects to improve Homestead’s quality of life.
Through my efforts with property owners, Amazon will bring in 400 jobs in its new warehouse facility. After 15 years of inaction on the “shotgun” property, I led the effort to secure a user to develop housing for our seniors. And, when COVID-19 hit our city, I ensured we used federal and state funds to protect our residents and keep our economy running.
Through innovation and forward-thinking policy, we’ve changed Homestead for the better. I’m running for re-election to build on the progress we’ve made.
