Eka pada RajaKapotasana 💗

If been practicing alot of deep backbends lately opening through the chest expending the front body so that the back body can move deeper and more freely with freedom. I found this interesting as I have alot of digestion issues and I read that alot of the problems stem from cervical instability. More specifically in the upper neck region.
I'm no doctor nor do I claim to be but the more I stimulate my spine especially in certain backbends the more I notice an improvement in my bloating and digestive issues. With a steady practice and a good mindfull awareness of the body mechanics I too belive if your having issues like me yoga can help you through your issues. Whatever they may be. Physical or mental. May peace and love be with you all 💕🙏🏻

Scorpion progress 🦂

Oh Hai 😊 I like to try and reach my toes all the way to my head. But that's a goal I'm still working on.
Scorpion or Vrschikasana has such strong spiritual significance. The top of the the head represents the ego and by stepping on it with the toes "scorpion" we manage to free ourselves from toxic emotions that weigh us down.
I love this philosophy ❤️ it only makes me strive harder each day.

Today is the start of 31 days of yoga!
I'm very excited to be back on Instagram after my month well deserved month long hiatus and I'm ready to dig deep into my practice and give it a go! I hope you'll consider joining in on the fun too as there is something for everyone! Love you all and see you on the mats!
Day 1 of YOGANUARY air mandala! Very open and expansive! Loved it I felt it was more of a anahata mandala flow as he opened through the chest and hear space alot! But there was alot of breathe work as we moved with one breathe one action as well. Great mandala flow! I love mandalas I could get lost in them all day.

Day 11
Tiryangmukhaikapada Paschimatanasana
Now say that 3 time really fast!!
This asana is tough on the knees! I don't have the best or healthiest knees out there so I do have to work on this posture a bit more than others or rather take it easier and not let me ego get to me. Take what you can get no fight no force!
On the flip side if your knees are healthy the knees are supposed to be perfectly aligned with no space apart between the thighs as you come to the forward fold! Feeling the beautiful nice deep stretch along the back of the leg.
Hint: you can roll the calf muscle out the way to get a better fold of the bent leg, just to help you get a deeper fold forward!

Day 5 in Prasarita Padottanasana A
One of my favorite of the standing sequences.
•As I get to these asanas my mind begins to tell me "now I'm in practice" and there's no backing out. For once I reach these set of asanas they can really engage me and ground me into the practice setting me up for a great practice ahead. I love ❤ forward folds. Something about awakening the lower body while still using and engaging the upper body at the same time works like magic ✨.

✨ WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT ✨ ’s 26&2 POSTURE TECHNIQUE at Yoga Shala & Wellness Center, November 6th.

Esak has been practicing and teaching Bikram Yoga since 1994. This is an opportunity to feed your practice with techniques and information that will help you get more from the time you spend in the hot room. Participants will have the opportunity to immediately apply the workshop information to their practice in the class following the workshop.

A SECOND WORKSHOP will be hosted at our sister studio, , the following day, November 7th, covering the e84 Intermediate Class. The e84 Intermediate Class is a 90 minute hot class that uses the foundation of Bikram’s 26&2 Traditional yoga to introduce new postures and develop additional yoga skills. It is an accessible and fun class that focuses on teaching posture technique. No advanced skills are required.

This is an EXCELLENT way to learn more about this therapeutic practice. Delve deeper into this transformative yoga and seek the knowledge you can use to heal YOUR OWN BODIES!

☆This asana is a very deep spinal twist! If your not familiar with twist keep it light and simple and try the right variation for you! Your body will benefit from the posture no matter how deep you go or get. 💗

Day 3️⃣ of the challenge is Anjayenasana Aka Cresent Lunge! 🌙

☆Any lunge variation will open the hips and stretch the psoas/hip flexor muscles. In my opinion it's always a good idea to warm and stretch these muscles before going into any lunge variations. Try a half split, dragon pose or a triangle. All these postures are great warming asanas to help aid you in your Cresent lunge!

☆For back extentions in any pose variation it's best to warm up with a yoga wheel / yoga block on the sacrum! Try lifting up into a full wheel pose a few times, giving your front body and spine time and space to open freely. 🧡
