There will always be hope...

Despite the comedic side, it is important to support your friends (or just someone you know) who must up their courage to talk. To say something personal is something to be taken and understand seriously.
So here at Kapit Campaign, we highly encourage people to sit down and talk with their friends who put a lot of effort in voicing out their personal problems.
We are down to our last moments. Please continue to support us until the very end...
"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is wasted." - Aesop
Depression can come in many ways and yet almost all of them are discreet. You never know when your small act of kindness will help someone a large amount. Tag a friend and see how they're doing!
Some of us end up tolerating the pain we feel each day. Some might say that it's the way to go. There comes a time where we get used to that pain, where it becomes a normal thing in our lives. Here in KAPIT, we do not want anyone to ever feel this. Remember that your lives matter too. It doesn't mean that if you can take the pain, you're not having a hard time while doing it.
Tag 3 other friends and see how they're doing!

We in KAPIT would like to know how everybody is feeling since one of the best ways to combat depression is to understand your emotions. Tag a friend and check up on how they are doing to make sure everyone's feels fine 😊
This day marks the 34th Anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.
However, let's not forget the 9,075 victims of human rights during the martial law. Having your human rights violated could lead to psychological effects. Depression, PTSD, Anxiety Disorders, and Psychotic conditions are just some of the effects that linger from a victim.
With that, this serves as a call of action to us so as to not let the numbers repeat.
What do the numbers tell?
In 2019, 3.3 Million Filipinos were suffering from depression. In addition, 2.5 males and 1.7 females commit su***de per 100,00 Filipinos. These numbers just goes to show how much of a problem this is in the Philippines.
In relation to the meme posted last week, Depression is not a joke. It is currently happening and should not be shrugged-off.
Know what the numbers tell...
It's not what it seems...
"I'm fine" can mean just that but we all know that is not the case. Sometimes, there's more to those words. Feelings of rejection, fear, anxiety, and many more could be behind those words. Even if it's repetitive, it's a must to LISTEN AND UNDERSTAND.
"It's going to be okay", "It will all be over soon", and "It's just in your head" are just some of the common lines that we thought could help a depressed person. In actuality it doesn't.
Instead of saying those, it would be best to listen. Listen and understand because they need someone to open up to.
Depression can target anyone at anytime...
Besides reaching out, it is also important to understand the situation in which a depressed person is in. So please, understand even if it would take a long time.
Sometimes the deciding factor that saves someone from depression is a simple reach of the hand...
With that in mind please feel free to reach out to your friends or to us in KAPIT if you feel that they have signs of depression or if you yourself have feelings of sadness
