Happy Thanksgiving from Philadelphia, home of the oldest Thanksgiving Day parade in America! 🦃
Gobble gobble! Today, the Benjamin Franklin Parkway will be filled with gigantic floats, dancers, choirs, marching bands, and more. The parade dates back to 1920, when it was created by the Gimbel Brothers Department Store and then continued by when Gimbels closed in 1986. The 1.4 mile parade route commences at 20th Street and JFK Boulevard, turns left onto 16th Street and then left onto the parkway.
