The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results. And that is what you've been doing. Every day, you wake up and do the same thing - dreaming the same dream, going the same way to work, hanging around the same people, living the same lifestyle - without committing to any change. Today, you need to start taking action.

You need to be more committed to your dreams than your comfort zone because, as many say, life is too short. When you die, you will be able to say all you wanted to do was _____. You need to make a choice to commit to that dream, to commit to working smart to make it a reality. It's the only way your life will change.❤️️

A virtual assistant (VA) might not be as necessary as you believe.
I wholeheartedly support delegation to your team, but only when it is necessary and appropriate.

I observe a lot of business owners who become overwhelmed and engage a virtual assistant rather than spending the time to streamline their processes and automate their workflows.

In my experience, your tools should be your first line of defense as you grow your business. When my clients come to me to help them reclaim their time, I help them automate and THEN delegate.

If you locate a Virtual Assistant (VA) who is skilled at system setup, consider yourself lucky. I should know because I was a VA once. When we excel at anything, our positions quickly shift.

I recommend getting your backend in order with the right tools and automation set up, so you can look at your next business investment more strategically. This way, you won't have to rely on a VA and can avoid being locked into a monthly contract.

We need to talk about these processes 👀

There is only so much you can do (or I can do) when you are unsure of your processes or don't have a clear outline of how you want your systems to run.

Before you can even think about automating your backend, implementing your workflows, or bringing on new team members, you must define your processes FIRST.

Here's how you can define your processes:

📝 List the top tasks or processes you complete in your business and how you complete them (ie. onboarding process).

⏳ Determine whether those processes are efficient or if there is a more straightforward way to get to the end goal.

✍🏽 Write out the steps you or your team need to take to complete those processes.

🤔 Now, think about the systems and workflows you want to implement to streamline each process.

From there, you are able to get help with setting up your systems, creating automated workflows, and hiring a team WITHOUT the stress and confusion.

When your processes aren't defined, it's hard to move forward 🤷🏽‍♀️

PRESSURE MAKES DIAMONDS 💎

Isn’t that what they say? I’ve been patiently waiting to shine bright all month.

August has been a very trying month. From an unexpected move and a breakup, to a car break in and loss of over 3K of personal items all the way down to getting scammed for a $75 deposit from my hair 😩 It’s been a doozy for me.

And since social media does not always feel natural for me, it was the first thing I let go when I felt the overwhelming amount of stress as I’m trying to figure out WHY ME?!?!

I almost allowed my mind to let me go another day without showing up for my tribe.

But no.. Today I decided to bet on myself!

Despite being silent here, moves are still being made in the background. This month, I’ve booked 2 speaking engagements for September and the books for my signature service, First Class to Freedom is 50% full for next month.

If you're serious about making your business a success, then make a plan. Figure out what you want to achieve, and how you're going to get there. And most importantly, stick to it! Rome wasn't built in a day, and your business won't grow overnight either. But if you put in the hard work and have a solid plan to guide you, you'll be on your way to success.

✨You're great at being the visionary of your business. You find gaps in your market and come up with ways to solve the problem. Because in the past 12 months of effectively freeing my time, I’ve realized that nothing good comes from the 24 hour grind and running myself into the ground. While in the hustle culture, I was literally living in a state of stress and exhaustion. And how can I be fully productive when my mind is not right? 🤗

I had to change my mentality of success and realize that it was very possible to work less while also doing more. Which in turn created more impactful results. I teach in demand entrepreneurs ways they can free up their time to live a more impactful life.

How many times have you had to break up with a new VA? Oftentimes, we hire support and then get upset because they didn't live up to our expectations. But did you set your new hire up for success or did you set yourself up for failure?

When you're hiring support, it's important to set clear expectations from the beginning. That way, both you and the support person know what is expected of them. If you don't do this, it's easy to get upset when things don't go as planned.

Expectations should be communicated in every step of your hiring and onboarding workflow, starting from the job description down to how you train the new hire. This is what creates an effective talent system so that you're not getting into the cycle of hiring to fire and actually building a strong team that can support your vision.
