We are a collective of diverse, accomplished women committed to advancing women’s leadership and championing equality locally and globally.
As part of our 5th Anniversary celebrations, the International Women’s Forum Barbados chapter was delighted to host the Global Board Meeting here last month. In keeping with this year’s International Women’s Day theme “Count her in ! Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress” we engaged pannist Nikita Wilfred and she did an outstanding job at our Opening Cocktail Party at Ilaro Court. The pannist said “I truly believe that to have a high functioning society we should definitely invest in women”
Singer Nikita Herbert packed out the dance floor at the Closing Party at Harrison’s Cave and gave our guests a great send-off.
Our IWF Global Board Members and IWF members locally had the pleasure of interacting with Master Blender, Trudiann Branker at the Mount Gay Rum Tour. She said “I’m proud to be the first female Master Blender at Mount Gay, and in fact, in all of Barbados. Since I started, the majority of my team has been female and it’s great to work with like-minded women every day.”
The IWF Barbados is committed to investing in women so that we can accelerate progress.
The Closing Party for IWF Global Meeting was held at Chukka Harrison’s Cave. Some of the IWF women in a partying mood!
