Mushroom stair way to heaven, Flammulina velutipes. This is wild Enoki, the SAME species you buy in the grocery store or eat in your favorite Asian cuisine. Crazy how different the natural verses commercial grown fungi look. Nature nurtures.

As I prepare for my first market as ‘Fungologie’ I am reflecting on a question I get asked frequently, “How did you get into mushroom hunting?”. The answer: moss and lichens. I’ve always been astounded by their unique miniature world . And where you find moss, you find mushrooms. 😊🍄
