I woke this morning truly humbled for the overwhelming support I received yesterday. I am so blessed and grateful. Shep and I appreciate all the love and support yall have shown us over the last few months. So happy to live in such a great community with such wonderful people. Thank you again!!!

Having a great lunch in Cook County with my volunteers today! This was a nice break before we went back out door to door. We want to thank you for all of your support. It has been a wonderful day!

Spectacular day at the Daylily Festival in Adel yesterday! Huge crowd and the Adel-Cook Chamber of Commerce did a great job. After the Daylily Festival was over, Shep and I went to Lakeland to the Flatlanders Rhythm and Grooves concert. The Lakeland-Lanier Chamber of Commerce has put on a great concert series and last night we enjoyed the Lanier High School Jazz Band and then an Elvis impersonator. Fun day!

May 24th is THE DAY and I need your support! And if I haven’t knocked on your door yet, I’m coming… although with 5 counties it is taking awhile.

Had so much fun attending Career Day at Berrien Elementary School! The kids seemed genuinely interested (most of them anyway). Staff and teachers did a great job at organizing and keeping things moving. I was exhausted at the end and have a new found respect for what our teachers do everyday!

The last few days have been busy… Blessed to have had a big group of friends and family help me go door-to-door yesterday. We spent the day getting the word out! And a couple of days before that a group of friends held an event for me in Clinch County. I’m so thankful for all the support!

Tried to get some nice campaign pics taken, but the dog had other ideas of fun! She wanted belly rubs and I just wanted to get a good picture. Of course, Shep thought this whole series of events was hysterical.

Supporters put on another big event for me this week. I am humbled and honored by the enormous crowd that showed up. I cannot thank the hosts, sponsors and attendees enough for believing in me. I am so blessed!

When I was elected DA almost 10 years ago, I was shocked and saddened to see the amount of child abuse that goes on everyday in our community. Unfortunately, the abuse of children is an ongoing problem that we need to be aware of as families, friends and neighbors. April is Child Abuse Prevention month and I urge all of you to take notice of this terrible problem and take steps to address it when you see it. I also want to thank our law enforcement, teachers, counselors, social workers, and CASA volunteers for their work on behalf of children.

Had a great night at the Cook County Livestock Association Youth Hog Sale on Tuesday night. I’ve been to the youth livestock sales in Berrien, Cook and Clinch this year and those kids really put in a lot of work to show their cows and pigs (the parents work pretty hard too). What great values these organizations instill in our youth. FFA, 4-H and other Ag centered youth programs are wonderful programs for our communities.

Excellent event put on for me last night by my Lanier County supporters! Big turnout with great friends and good food! So blessed to have the support of so many folks.

I made it official! I completed qualifying today and will be on your ballot in May. I’m honored I have been able to serve as your Superior Court Judge and ask for your vote so I can continue to serve. Many thanks to my friend Keith Stone for his help in walking me through the process of qualifying today.

Had a great time at the chili cook off in Nashville! Ate lots of delicious chili and got to see lots of folks. Shep had his cousins (Lila and Ryn Houston) with him. I served as one of the judges and got to try 26 different bowls of chili (Hello heartburn). Thanks to all the participants and to Nashville Main Street for putting on a wonderful community event.

Shep and I had a great time yesterday afternoon in Cook County eating lunch and shooting dove with friends from around the circuit.

It was a great day at the Cook County Courthouse on Friday when we hosted the local pre-k classes for Christmas. I signed an order along with Probate Judge Chase Daughtrey, Sheriff Doug Hanks and Clerk of Court April Garrett allowing St. Nicholas (aka: Santa) to come into Cook County to spread cheer and joy to the children of Cook County.
