LOVE the way these pointy churches look with the foliage! 🍁🍂🍁
There are so many of these white churches with the same architectural design all around New Hampshire and Vermont, and they always remind me of European architecture. I guess it makes sense, considering it’s called “New England.” My curiosity about why it’s called New England led me to refresh my memory on U.S. history… haha.
So here’s what I found: New England was literally named as a “new” England, after English colonists settled there in 1616. John Smith was the first to use the name to describe the region, and many colonists used names from their homeland for the cities we now know.
New England consists of 6 states: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
In case you forgot US history, like myself, we (re)learned something today!
My two favorites from New England 🍂🤎
Woodstock, VT had that movie-like fall aesthetic that was dreamy and gave you all the feels.
So excited to explore another state with foliage! This one will require some mild hiking. Any guesses?
Fully immersed in this Monet painting. There’s a similar and much bigger one in Paris but the one at the MoMA is just as majestic!
At the MoMa you’ll also find Vincent Van Gogh’s famous “Starry Night” painting! If you love art museums. The MoMA is definitely something to add to your nyc bucket list!

The Empire State Building: Different times, lighting, and perspectives. 🌃
Isn’t she gorgeous?
I’ve been everywhere around the Empire State building but never inside the empire building! I always felt like the view is not the same without this beauty in sight! But I’ll make my way up one day!
Have you been up the Empire State building?!
When you’re on crunch time in Paris and don’t have time to make the trek to Versailles, Hôtel de la Marine gives you the same vibe and a little glimpse of Versailles without leaving the city!
It’s royal, it’s gold, it’s stunning, and way less crowded than Versailles. ✨
My sister introduced this place to my parents and me, , and we loved it

My favorite aspects of having a travel companion are:
• Having a companion who supports and helps you navigate unfamiliar places.
• Having someone to share the excitement of travel planning and the highs and lows of the journey, laughter, and awe-inspiring moments.
• Creating lifelong memories, capturing breathtaking landscapes, trying new adventures, and immersing yourselves in local culture.
• One of the biggest perks of having a travel companion is the ability to share costs and maximize your budget. Splitting accommodation expenses, transportation costs, and even food bills can make your trip more affordable, allowing for additional activities or an extended adventure.
Whether it’s a close friend, a romantic partner, or a family member, the shared experiences and memories created with a travel companion are priceless, truly enhancing every aspect of the journey.
So grab a buddy, pack your bags, and embark on an unforgettable adventure with your travel bestie(s)!

✨Let me reintroduce myself.✨
My name is Estefany (similarly pronounced as Stephanie). I realize most of my followers probably don’t know me as Estefany but as venturing soles! So nice to meet you all!
At a very young age, travel has been a big part of my life. Both my parents are Guatemalan, which gave us the opportunity to visit their country and learn about their culture at a really young age. The ambition and drive to visit and learn about other places was instilled by my parents, which I am eternally grateful for.
Throughout my life, I have visited a total of 30 US states and 18 countries, and I have lived in 3 different states: California, New York, and New Jersey!
Venturing Soles started back in 2020 with the intention to have a space to just save my travel pictures. However, I quickly loved the idea providing content that inspires and that is also informative for others!
Coming into this content creating space was both exciting and intimidating. There’s an incredible amount of travel creators that have years of experience and knowledge of venturing through the world and also how to navigate through social media.
Page disclaimers:
-I am still learning many things about this space, such as trying to understand the algorithm, learning how to communicate with my audience, and creating visually pleasing images.
-I am not a photographer, and I currently use my iPhone to get the photos and videos that you have seen thus far. I am learning new skills and tricks everyday on creating beautiful pictures and videos through my iPhone and editing in Lightroom.
-I am currently a nursing student, so a lot of my travel content is limited at the moment.
Despite my disclaimers, my goal is to continue working towards creating the best content I can create for you, and continue to learn all aspects and elements that go into creating content. If you have stuck around up until this point, THANK YOU. Thank you for giving this little page a chance, and allowing me to learn how to navigate through this platform. May this new year bring us many more adventures!
Merry Christmas! 🎄
