Hope you are all well. Just an update on what I've been doing. I finished and published a new novel, Empire of Sin and am currently in production to create it into and audiobook, along with a few other of my works. A message to all authors who follow my page, check out ACX as the narrator's on there are talented.

An excerpt from my newly drafted Fantasy Novel, 'Empire of Sin'.

The End Before the Beginning

This is what it comes down to. One final game of chance, and with it I might exact my revenge, take back what was mine. Get back my Rayah, once and for all.
It was a familiar scene as I entered the room. A table stood in the centre, on it ten pistols. Five to each side. One was loaded. A referee had been hired from out of the city, and it had taken two days for him to get here, but it was only fair as we didn’t want anyone from within the city, who would be biased to either give Crystallini the edge, loading one of my pistols, or intently loading one of his.
We sat down at the table and the men and women of Manhattan, the creme of the crop, who were paying to watch the game, entered and took their seats around the room.
The four crime lords from the other boroughs were there. A ceasefire had been called until the winner of the game was announced, for after all, if Crystallini lost, which the other crime lords were hoping for, there would be a new leader of Manhattan, and new talks could begin.
The referee came in and shuffled the guns once more, then placed ten of them in a line. We had been given a choice of five or ten pistols, and both of us had decided on the latter. Crystal being the one challenged chose his pistol first, then I chose one, and we went on until all ten pistols were assigned to one side of the table or the other.
The referee cleared his throat.
“Ladies and gentlemen, quiet please! I will read you the rules…”
The ref’ told us the rules, but you remember it from last time, right? When I played against Sykes. There would be a coin flip, then the winner got to choose who went first. The player would then shoot themselves, and if the pistol should prove loaded, then the other man would be the winner. If not, then the other man would take the shot, and it would continue until one man either submitted defeat or blew their brains out.
I was hoping for the latter.
“Being as Crystallini was the man challenged, he shall decide which side of the coin to pick.”
“Heads.”
The coin was flipped.
Tails.
“I’ll go first,” I say. My hand glides over the pistols. I pick the third one. I place it against the side of my head. “Here goes nothing.”
I pull the trigger. It clicks. I replace the pistol.
“So tell me, Mors. It is Mors, yes?”
I nod. “That is one of my names. Yes, Mors Lament.”
“An odd name. So, tell me, to come to New York and challenge one of the most notorious gangsters in the city takes balls. How come I never heard of you before now?”
I shrug. “I guess I’ve just been a… ghost of sorts.”
“I can relate. I myself used to prefer being hidden in the shadows.” Crystallini picks up the fourth pistol and places it against his head. “But the world changes, and we must change with it.” He pulls the trigger…
