4 days until I have my beta reader's feedback in hand and I can dive back into it! I've been working on book 2 and getting some reading done this past month but I am ready to get back into editing! ⁣⁣

After my rewrite and a round of edits I managed to cut down the word count from 109k to 104k, which I didn't think was possible because I added a couple of chapters, but I am very happy with it so far and can't wait to see what my betas think! ⁣

Writer update for the new year!

I wanted to pop in and say hi! I hope everyone is enjoying their January. It's only five days into 2023 and I am already thrilled about what's happening. I am working on finishing up this round of self-edits as we speak, and then it's off to beta readers on the 14th! I have a mixture of fear and excitement to have people finally read this manuscript, but either way, I cannot wait!

I have been fighting my blurb for several months trying to get it right, but I am now dangerously close to being able to check that off my to-do list. And I will be happy to do so!

I have also picked an editor and will be booking for edits very soon. All in all, we can expect more information about the manuscript to be posted in the next few months! I cannot wait to share the title, blurb, and tropes!

So far, everything is behind the scenes. But here is what I can share:
-The manuscript is the first book in a trilogy and I plan for 6-8 months between releases if I can swing it. More to come about that later.
-The genre is Adult Dark Fantasy, with a romance subplot.
-It's currently around 110K words, for reference that is a couple chapters shy of Nevernight by Jay Kristoff or A Court of Thorns and Roses by SJM
-I hope to publish in the fall of this year!

That is all I have for now as far as updates. I plan to post here more often and hope to grow some friends along the way!
