Good luck to our wonderful Sharp's Bakery Birchip who take on The Great Australian Vanilla Slice Triumph Merbein tomorrow! Wishing you all the best 🥰

We’re off to Merbein tomorrow for The Great Australian Vanilla Slice Triumph. This year marks 25 years since we first entered the competition and 15 since we first won the event at Ouyen in 2009. It’s turned our bakery on its head. Merbein holds a special place for us being Dad’s home town, we look forward to the yearly catch up with relatives at the Merbein club for lunch. It’s also a great chance to catch up with fellow bakers from all around the country. It’s events like this that give you that opportunity. Goodluck to all competitors and organisers tomorrow, it’s sure to be a great day! The Great Australian Vanilla Slice Triumph Merbein

WHITE RIBBON ROUND
Tomorrow the Bulls acknowledge White Ribbon Round in the NCFL. Football, netball and hockey players will wear white arm bands and white ribbon tattoos. Birchip and Sea Lake Neighbourhood Houses have provided White Ribbon water bottles, hats, beanies and socks to be used for player awards. White Ribbons will be available for purchase at the canteen.

When players take their positions for the seniors football, A Grade netball, men's and women's hockey matches, a siren/whistle will be blown to indicate the beginning of 36 seconds of silence as a mark of respect for the 36 women who have been murdered in acts of gender-based violence in 2024. At the conclusion of the 36 seconds, a siren/whistle will sound to begin the games.
