Glanza head completed today. This came to us with the poor factory casting, and is heading to be vapour blasted with all slag and casting marks removed, valve bowls smoothed and everything all sanded and polished. Head is now ready to flow those CFM's!
In the pictures is the transformation we've taken this head through, from when it came to us through to where it's at now.
Message us through our page for any porting enquiries and pricing.
Thanks, JS Porting.
Got another 4 hours put into the glanza head today! 95% done now, some tiny little finishing touches then off to v***r blast to be ready to go out to a customer!
After a little break over Christmas, Josh and I were back in the workshop cleaning up the Glanza cylinder head with sanding cones today, starting coarse before moving to finer grain to achieve a nice smooth finish. With not a lot left to do on this head, it’ll soon be time to get it vapour blasted and out to a customer. Pictures of the finished head to come as soon it’s done.
Today was an important day for us - working on the first head Josh and I are porting together as JS Porting. We’re working on a Glanza 4EFTE head we’re very familiar with, and we made good progress on the inlet side, finishing all 4 channels. We also made a good start on the exhaust channels as well and with delivery of our new sanding cones today progress is only going to get quicker. We’re only at the beginning of our journey - bigger things are coming.
Myself and Shay Tims started working on a Glanza 4EFTE head today, managed too get all 4 inlet channels done including valve bowls, and one exhaust channel done. The pictures below is a almost completed exhaust channel. We knife edged the split and also gasket matched all the ports. Will be a beauty when its done!
Here at JS Porting we offer gas flow and porting to a high standard.
Our porting jobs will increase the overall flow rate, improving efficiency, throttle response, spool times and engine stress caused by poor factory finishes on the cylinder head casing. This makes it ideal for performance running and motorsport applications.
We also offer other services including head skimming and re-tapping threads.
We do not currently offer the following services: full cylinder head rebuilds (assembly / tolerance checks); valve seat jobs
Please note, if you would like a cylinder head porting, we require the head to be sent to us pre-stripped. This is to prevent issues such as broken / lost valve collets and other individual parts. Due to the reassembly being completed by a third party, we also want to prevent loose parts vibrating / knocking into the head during shipping, causing damage to the cylinder head surfaces.
Please message us for pricing and all other enquiries here or via email at [email protected].
