This is a month of history, triumph and love!! Four years ago when this picture was taken, I had just began to learn what loving my culture looked like. It’s a shame how much about my history I didn’t know until I got to college.

I didn’t know anything beyond we were slaves, the little snippet in the corner during American history. No one taught me that we have some royalty in our bloodline. That we built America. That when we tried to succeed in 1921 with black Wall Street bombs were set off to destroy us in Tulsa Oklahoma.

This month I’m focusing on show casing history and loving who we are! All shades, all walks, all greatness!!

You have to look at your future and prepare for whatever it has next for you, can’t go backwards and staying in place is not an option!

Had such an impactful time doing my first workshop with staff and guess what a Man 👨!! Community Foundation of Lorain County This was an amazing staff workshop to settle the dust for a Monday!! We walked through the workshop in regard to a Work Life Balance and satisfyingly built a pillow!

Yesterday a volunteer and I had an opportunity to host a workshop with these amazing women at Lorain’s very own Haven Center! To those that gave for the crowdsourcing campaign I just want to say thank you for ensuring these women had pillows and an amazing experience! Your funds went toward providing all the necessary materials and a safe space for a total of 6 women. A pillow that they can squeeze and hold on to for every hard, lonely or dark moment they may experience 🥰 we talked, we laughed and I know I shed a few tears 😭 there stories are so powerful.
