Victory. Garden Hill Fishery Association applied for and received a Manitoba special dealer's license. This is the first community to receive a license of all the northern communities. Now it can legally sell fish to community institutions -- so that finally the school can serve healthy food. Or sell anywhere in Manitoba -- including smoked and fileted. To my knowledge it is the fourth recipient in Manitoba -- with the big players: Gimli Fish, Neptune and Neechi. Yeah Garden Hill. Anybody want to buy fish -- fresh and good from Island Lake -- with all profits going to fishermen -- no middleman involved. We brought home pickeral, jackfish and whitefish to sell at very good prices -- both to the consumer and to the fisherman.

RE: Video workshop on 1st and 2nd. Some of you will have great video and photos. We will interview the 1st and bring in your photos and video clips. For your interview on the 1st -- think about what questions you want to ask each other and get ready for the interview -- For example, What worked? What did you learn? How is food security better because of your work? What is needed to get better yet?
