At Simon Webster Hair we will never take risks with your hair.
But we do take risks in business because that's how we learn, innovate & inspire.

Introducing a new colour house to our salon a year ago, we knew would be challenging.
We could've chosen to play it safe.
We could've stayed on a tried and tested path.
We could've stopped questioning our choices & followed the pack.

It took a lot of consideration, research & hard work.
To learn a new colour system.
To retrain our entire team.
To introduce our clients to new shades & techniques.
To stand by our decision.

To be at the forefront of progress & innovation in our industry is what SWH has always done.
And Goldwell really have revolutionised hair colour technology forever.

Elumen is 100% lockable colour that penetrates the hair cortex & locks itself in with magnetic technology, actually strengthening the hair from inside out.
Other colour brands have tried to replicate it for years with no success. ☆

Pure Pigments launched two years ago, in collaboration with Fujifilm to mimick the pixelation of photo or video & how pixelated colour is read by the eye.
It's a high-concentration, direct additive of multi-tonal pigments, added to the hair dye.
The individual pigments don't mix together - they sit next to each other on the hair so that each dye reflects its own pure colour for unmatchable shine & irridesence, playing with light. ☆

Elumen Play is the new kid on the block, lunching just this week.
It brings all the vibrancy & luminosity of Elumen but sits on top of the hair cuticle, meaning it washes out with 100% fade.
It's taken years to create but now it's here.

It's time for a new look for the new year for The Afro Hair Plug.
As we approach the end of the year. We wanted to bring in the new year with with colours that represent how our hair makes us feel; happy, bright, playful and professional (you don't hear that often about afro hair 😉)

‘The Afro Hair Plug’ is a whole mood. One that stemmed from a problem I’d often faced as a Black woman: where can I get my hair 'done right'? The best bantu knots or Ghana braids could have been right on my doorstep, but not knowing where I could find a trusted stylist was the issue. Having that knowledge is something I think we all deserve.. From moving for university to starting my first corporate job. I’ve found myself travelling up to 4 hours to London to find an afro hairdresser or find the hidden corners of the internet for afro hair tutorials.
The manifesto
The struggle is real, but at times it’s simply unnecessary. We wanted to create a platform that connected local hairstylists with those of us in the Afro Caribbean community needing our hair ‘done right’. Confidence in our hair is integral to our community and our mission is to further the movement of Afro hair positivity.
