Do you want to see Allendale County go back to offering Council members full lifetime insurance benefits for themselves and their spouse after serving 12 years or turning 65 in office? I don’t and I don’t think most of our hard working employees and citizens do either.
If not, let your voices be heard. If you support this let me know why.

"I didn't see Matthew Connelly's name on the ballot, why didn't I get to vote for him?" We've had this question from some early voters. The June 9th election is a State Primary. It is an election in which registered voters select a candidate that they believe should be a particular political party's candidate to run in the General Election on November 3rd.

Matthew Connelly is the only DEMOCRATIC candidate running for Allendale County Council 4. However, there is a Republican candidate also running.

" I plan to vote (or voted) REPUBLICAN in this primary. Does this mean I can't vote for Matthew in November?" No, you WILL be able to vote for him in the General Election in November. Just remember NOT to do a Straight Ticket Vote (STV) if you are voting for some Republican candidates. This way you can choose the best candidates for the job- whether it be Republican, Democrat, or any mix of candidates.

"If I vote in the Republican Primary on June 9th can I still vote for Matthew on November 3rd?" ABSOLUTELY!
