Today makes 10 years. One decade. On February 5th, 2013 my life changed forever. In many ways it feels like a lifetime ago; yet at the same time it seems to have flown by. I was lost and undone. A few words that described me would have been addict, thief, manipulative, broken, suicidal, depressed, and hopeless just to name a few. But on this day all of that changed. I had been searching for help, but could not find it. I had done all I could do to find fulfillment, but had been left feeling more and more empty. I tried relationships. I tried substances. I tried living on the edge and facing danger head on. All of these things left me lying in the gutter. But on THIS day, I met Jesus. I met him in a real way. I had previously believed in Him to some extent. I had accepted Him as my Savior and made a profession of my faith. But on THIS day, I had been searching for more, and I found it. I was a believer, yet I was empty. I believed, but I was lost according to scripture. Today marks 10 years since I was gloriously filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Some call it crazy. I call it biblical. Some say it was an experience only meant for the original apostles, but those apostles declared that it was for “all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” Some say it’s unnecessary, but the Bible says it’s vital. You can do as I did and try all that this world has to offer, but I guarantee that nothing else will work. Has my life been perfect since that day? Absolutely not. There have been many painful moments and seasons of heartache along the way, but these have BY FAR been the best 10 years of my (almost) 30 years of life. I plan to spend the next Decade sharing this experience with as many people as I possibly can. Will you join me? It’s the only true hope you’ll ever find in this life.

In 1 Samuel 30:6 King David, alone and afraid, was forced to encourage HIMSELF. There’s a hurting world that needs your voice.
For the person who has spent your life wondering “Will I ever be good enough?” -Today is the day you start treating yourself as a person of value. You are not the sum total of all your mistakes. You can’t control what happened to you, but you can control what happens in you. Don’t allow your heart to become hardened. Today is the day you realize that you’ve always been enough.
