Attention readers and other assorted fans of Steelfated- I’ve got a question to pose to you all- that is hopefully simple to answer as I don’t need anything TOO specific like a page number or exact wording,
But what is your favorite bit of banter between characters in Steelfated, particularly the banter between Morgain and Radyn which has been extremely well recieved across the board.

With Feysworn coming out soon, I am beginning to look at some options to expand and provide more formats- one of the things that I would LOVE to do is have these books converted into audio format- which is a huge undertaking, and potentially extremely expensive. With that said- there is an incredible amount of work that goes into the recording and production of a well done audiobook, and the narrator can truly make or break it, so paying for it is not currently in the realm of feasibility, unless I suddenly hit the lottery, or become a best seller- either or both of which would be fantastic- but I’m not holding my breath either.

With that said I was made aware today of a program that audible/amazonKDP has in which indie authors and narrators can take a chance on each others work and split the royalties- which I am going to attempt to put Steelfated out on. I can’t make any promises, because it is a MASSIVE project, of which I am very well aware, and I’m not certain that I will be able
To get someone to try to do a project this big with no guarantee of any tangible income to result in the end. I’m hopeful- I think that there is a nearly limitless potential for an audiobook version of Steelfated, and the rest of the series- but I’m also realistic and don’t expect anyone to work simply for exposure(one of the most bu****it practices of modern society).

I’m going to try to put together 2-3 pages of an “audition”
Script and see if l can have any luck on finding a narrator.

A bit of a plot synopsis for Feysworn, releasing on 12/9/23. To build the tension a bit.

"Should it be this easy to commit a murder?

Morgain Muirdoch is no stranger to killing. As a member of the Steelfated, combat is a near-daily reality of her life. The Steelfated are a bulwark, a shield protecting the Tuathan Highlands from the Mistbourne. But hunting someone down on another’s orders does not feel like just killing. But a debt for services already rendered must be repaid. Especially when that contract is with the Fey.

She was warned but assured herself and her superiors she knew the risks. This bargain not only indebted herself but also Radyn Halstraad, the son of her family’s ancient ancestral rivals. Her deal with the Fey has left the pair of them inextricably bound, by magic, their duty, their debt, and perhaps more.

Membership in the Steelfated is unpredictable, dangerous, and difficult at the best of times. They are experiencing rapid and frequent changes. New leadership, new technology, new strategies, and dangerous and intelligent new Mistbourne. Morgain and Radyn are caught in the epicenter of this deadly new reality.

And the Fey are calling in their debt.

Hello all! This one is going to be a bit of a long one, so hang on! I will be at the Stanleyville Spook-tack-ular event all weekend long signing copies of my debut Novel, Steelfated. Last weekend I officially announced Steelfated’s sequel, Feysworn, with an anticipated release date of 1/31/24. I’m pleased to announce that it did not take nearly as many edits to whip into shape as Steelfated did, so I’m pleased to announce that I’m going to back the release date up to 12/9/23 with the hope that I will be able to get them out to people for Christmas! I will also be taking pre-orders for Feysworn this weekend.

Steelfated is available on kindle, Kindle unlimited, trade Paperback and Hardcover on Amazon, and Signed Physical Copies are available at the Ripley Branch of the Jackson County WV Library, J&M Books and Play in Parkersburg, WV, the West Virginia Artisans Market in Ripley, WV, and through me directly.

Feysworn’s Kindle Edition is available to pre-order on Amazon right now. Signed physical editions will be available to Pre-order through me this weekend and their listed prices include shipping anywhere in the US. physical copies should be up to pre-order on amazon in the next 10 days or so, and once the book releases they will be available at the same places Steelfated is.

**** Disclaimer- my INTENTION is to have physical copies ready for people to order for Christmas, and I have not tried to order author copies in before the release date, and I’m honestly not sure if I will have the ability to order them prior to the official release date. If I can get them to me - I will order them with enough time to have them show up to me by 12/9. If I can’t order them before 12/9, due to the nature of the shipping industry around the holidays, I don’t feel comfortable promising that they will be there Christmas Day. When I order copies they take 7-14 days to get to me, depending on how many copies I order and how busy shipping is at the time. I do work for USPS, so what I can promise is that they will be in the mail and I will have tracking numbers to give out the morning after they come to me. Pre-orders made through Amazon can probably be guaranteed before Christmas, but they won’t be signed.

Exciting news on the Book front- Book 2 Feysworn, which was until very very recently titled Mistwalker, is finished and in editing. Edits should be done by the end of October, with an estimate release of January. IF I can manage it, I might try to pull the release date forward to mid-December. Regardless- Pre-orders for the Kindle version are available now. It will also be available in paperback and Hardcover, just like Steelfated is, although I can’t set a pre-order for those until it’s formatted completely and submitted.

Today at the Jackson County Public Library - JCPL 2023 Mini-con I have a table and will be signing/selling paperback and hard cover copies of Steelfated. These are all still first edition books- and they are the END of first edition prints. I recently had Steelfated reformatted by Fowler Ink and it the 2nd edition looks FANTASTIC. You can order the 2nd edition paperback on amazon, and the hardcover and Ebook 2nd editions will be available very soon-so for now, those are still able to be ordered. Signed paperbacks will be $15 and signed hardcovers are $25. $5 from each copy sold will go back to supporting the library.
First edition copies of the book are also still available(so far as I am aware) at J&M books and Play in Parkersburg, and copies will be coming soon to Talyor Books in Charleston.

In the second edition, I’ve corrected a few minor flaws that have been brought to my attention, and Second editions will also contain a map of Saerin and the Fey realm, which had not been completed at the time of publishing.

In other news, the sequel to Steelfated, Mistwalker is cranking along, and is a little bit more than halfway done. I’m hoping for a release date to mark the anniversary of Steelfated, but I’m realistic enough to say that it is most likely going to be a Christmas/new years 2024 release. I’m also working on a shorter side story featuring Morgain and Radyn’s siblings, that will offer a look into the wider events of Archenarium’s world stage whilst the two of them face the Mistbourne and make deals with the Fey. It’s going to be broken into 3 peices as well and be a sort of filler story to keep your appetites whetted while the main book is going. Book 1.5 entitled Awakened WILL release in september if Mistwalker is not quite ready for the September release. If like I can make my September deadline with Mistwalker, then Awakened will release sometime in early august.

Nothing content wise, but I do have a map to include in the front matter now, a list of characters to watch out for, and a small formatting issue on the E-books to correct.
