Word Up is spectacular!
As children’s book and product reviewers and endorsors for K-12 schools, we frequently receive books and products in the mail to review....it’s like Christmas!
This week, we were elated to receive two books from a previous guest of The Collaborative, Mr. Mark Alan, author of Word Up! “Language in the Key of Life”.
We love, love, love that it promotes the several components of reading: phonemes, phonics, fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and rhyming. The book is also culturally relevant.
As educators, we also love that this book is research based by The Rollins Center for Language & Literacy The Atlanta Speech School and will help build vocabulary and comprehension.
The repetition and rhyming will definitely capture the attention of children that promoting and supporting language & literacy development that helps accelerates 3rd grade reading readiness for children 0-9.
