Hey just wanna let you folks know I'm on Cara 🤭. I've been here for a while a really love posting on Cara since I don't feel a ton of pressure like when I'm posting on my other social platforms. Look me up 🥰🥰🥰

Half of my tiny office is occupied by these for the last few days in hope for them to flat out before my trip to . The cats got locked out for the last few days and they are not happy with the door not being opened. His and her majesty are appalled with this recent change. How dare us!!! 😂😂😂

Happy lunar new year, or like we say it in Vietnam Happy Tết!!! 🎊🎊🎊

I moved out of Vietnam quite a few years ago and only been back once, and not even during Tet holiday so I haven't been able to celebrate it properly ever since. I miss the red and gold decoration, the yellow apricot blossom and peach blossom that everyone tries so hard to "make" them bloom on the first day of lunar new year's eve, people boiling their sticky rice cakes right outside of the houses for hours. I miss the moment our crowded noisy Ho Chi Minh city suddenly so quiet just the day before because everyone is on their way back home to see their families in their hometown. I even miss the bickering between families and young people getting annoyed as every 5 minute there would be a relative ask them when will they get married lol.

I get emotional every year during this time, lunar new year is such a big part of my childhood. Hopefully I can visit vietnam sometimes soon to celebrate it again 🫶🫶🫶.

to this series turned out to have massive impact on my style back 2022. I learned a lot during this challenge (and still hasnt really gotten a good grasp tbh lol).

I had no idea how much works it requires to build your own website and I'm absolutely rubbish as it 🤣. God knows how many time I banged my head against the wall because I couldnt put things where I wanted, even though there is template and such. So now it is over I'm so happy to be done with website and back with my drawing table 🥰🥰🥰.

Ps: Hopefully I'll be able to to put these ladies in my website as print options soon 🥰🥰🥰

I just realised I havent updated anything for almost 2 months 🥲, I swear I havent gone back to hibernation, I'm just working on something 🙈🙈🙈.

Some of you might know, I'm in the process of setting up my print shop, this has been on my mind for years and I am finally doing it! It is a lot of works but I'm happy I can spare a bit of time for a little drawing of my next piece 🥰 .

This will be the sketch for a series that I've been putting on hold for a while, my season series. I've done spring and winter a while ago, but Im planning to redo the winter piece so they look more uniform (my style has changed since lol).

I didn't do the whole 8 prompts since it'd probably taken me until august to finish but I'm happy with the prompts I gotten done. My favourite would have to be since I had the most fun painting her extravagan kimono (my attempt to make her looks like she's swimming in money 🤣) and the background.

This series has been fun but I think thats it for tiny faces for me now. Can'r wait to go back to paint normal size face 🤣🤣🤣

Morning beautiful people, it's my final piece for series, edo era 😆😆😆. Deadline was a month and a half ago but WHO'S COUNTING riteeeeee 🥲🥲🥲

I had a lot of fun coming up with this piece since just like a lot of people, I started my art journey copying manga so Japanese culture definitely has a huge impact on me as an artist. I did some research for the kimono during edo era and decided on obi knott tied in the front instead of the back. This is purely because I think its matched with my lady's vibe ❤️

I was so not looking forward to paint every single petal when I first started but it's definitely my favorite part (to paint) in this piece. Was a pleasantly surprise!

Okay here she is, my mermaid. It is no long june and wayyyyyyyyyyy passed may so Idk why Im still doing this but I started it so I wanna finish this series lol. I actually dragged this prompt for longer than I would have liked cos I was a little burned out, but I managed to finshed her last night ans went straight to bed for 12hrs lmao 😂😂😂.

Dusting off my ig with my spring lady because I havent posted over a month, the guilt is eating me up inside 🥲. But at least I finished my spring lady in my season series before spring over in Vancouver. (Which for some reason has been cold and rainy af 🙄🙄🙄)

I have tried my hardest to think about positive things the last few weeks, tried to make my paintings "normal". But I haven't felt normal or positive for quite sometimes. Stressful living situation, uncertain future with no direction, and frankly, I'm still appalled by the barbaric inhumane things are happening in Ukraine. How could people think they are justified for tying up innocents and shoot them? All of them?
As if life isn't hard enough for most of us, people just have to go a start war to get more lands and power. And have these lunatics run around ra**ng and killing innocents for their entertainment.
It's heartbreaking.

I am disgusted and fuming.

My heart is with you my ukrainian friends. This piece is piece of my heart to you. I wish you strength and courage to get thru this.

Hi everyone, Im back.

I haven't been myself the last few weeks, especially with recent event. I feel bad for innocent people that got dragged into a stupid political war and Im angry at people who are so hungry for power that they are willing to trade other people's lives for more power.

But there is nothing I can do at the moment, except from offering a little hope with my art. As I promised, this is the last piece for , a little (2 weeks) late but Im glad I stuck out and finished. A wish upon a shooting star is the inspiration for this piece. And you know what they say, that wish will come true.

I've been stucked on this 3rd prompt of for a week 😒. Its the first week that Im sort of back to normal sleeping schedule ever since New year's eve and everything I drew during the day just come out suckkkkkk.
I honestly like the f* up sleeping schedule in which I go to sleep at 3pm and start my day at 10pm better 😂.
Anyway I finally came up with this late last night and well, its not suck. I guess I'd be working on this lol 😂

A little late but happy lunar new year 🐯🐯🐯!

I remember growing up in Vietnam, we have a say: còn mùng là còn tết, loosely mean, we dont stop partying until the 10th of lunar new year. So technically, I'm not too late to the party lmao.

This is the 5th lunar new year I spent far away from home and honestly, I am really homesick. I miss all the homemade lunar new year food, all the red envelopes, all the *gambling* and the atmosphere when you're around people of your childhood. I miss the build up time when I used to dress up and went to the flower street with my best friends. May the luck will come to me this year and I could go home soon. 🐯

Finally finished this piece that I've been working on for days! Its the first piece of my season series: my winter girl 🤗.

This colour palette was very challenging for me cos its so easy to over do it and lose the core of the whole painting. And know me, I love using vibrant and bold colours lol. I've had a hard time 🤣🤣🤣. I'm very proud of this piece so , please feature me lmao.

Its me again, doing my usual thing pop in about once a year with a new sketch after much excuses and procrastination. But this time instead of once a year hopefully I can do something more productive like once a week 🤣.

Why now? Cos I graduated. Done with school and unemployed 😂, timing is perfect. And after a few months my landlord would find my co**se in the flat getting eaten by my cats. Its truly a desparate time of my life but I dont know what else to do guys so I figured just give no f**k at all and do what I do best: making art. Starting with this jelly lad.

Hi Insragram, it's been a long time. About 8 months ago I got caught in the middle of life and forgot to hold my brushes. But I'm back, as usual this time of the year tons of stuff happen and give me a massive boost of inspiration. I hope you guys havent given up on this weird ass account so I can continue to inspire you for a while longer.
This is a complete piece of a wip I did for my kitten that passed away 8 months ago . Between life and me not wanting to let her go, I delayed this process as long as possible. But I cant start a new piece without finishing this one, although lord knows how many unfinished wip I abandoned, I want to finish this piece as one last thing I could do for my little baby.
So, this is her, I hope she's happy somewhere in this universe, between space and time.

Hi everyone, it's me again.
Sorry for being in active the last few weeks, my baby kitten passed away unexpectedly two weeks ago and I needed some time to process. Although a part of me still can't accept that she's really gone, I know I need to move on. So I'm done moping around, and I decided to draw something for her.
I promised her a long healthy happy life but I couldn't keep that promise. This is the only thing left I can do for her.

I'm so happy that I finally finished my first painting for 😭😭😭, I had to start over this young lady 4 times in order to get her right, talk about playing hard to get 🙄 (she's worth it tho 😤). I wanted to do something different with this piece so I tried a bunch of new stuff, I'm very pleased the way she turned out!
As I mentioned before in my story, I won't be able to do the whole month of Mermay (I mean it's the 17th of May already and I'm still on my first painting, duh 🤣), so my goal is 2 paintings for Mermay. Too much to do and too little time to do it in 😤😤😤
