Band Together Buffalo
Hi all, I wanted to take a moment to be straightforward about what we are doing to keep things safe and keep our musicians healthy. At our streaming sessions ALL musicians are made aware of the precautions we are taking, but we realize that the public may not know what we are doing. It looks like a regular show, but without an audience. There is much more behind the scenes.
A few of the precautions we are taking include:
* HAND SANITIZER. We strongly recommend to each band member that they use it every single time they get on the stage, and every single time they get off the stage. We have several other sanitzers as well (including some high strength chlorine-based surface cleaners).
* We limit how many people may be on stage at any given time. You'll notice that we haven't had large bands. We have stuck with 3- and 4-piece bands for a reason. We have had solo performers for a reason. Additionally, our sound checks and set ups take longer than usual because we don't allow more than 4 people on stage at any given time. Audio and video wait until each band is fully set up before setting up cameras and microphones.
* All microphones and other equipment are wiped down at least once per night. Microphones - even instrument microphones - are wiped down as they come out of the case, and again before being put away. Every time. All vocalists are strongly encouraged to bring their own microphones. Even stands and cables get wiped down.
* We are a closed set. No friends, no fans, no girlfriends, no boyfriend, no family. Strictly the artists, audio tech, and video tech. ALWAYS less than 10 people, as per CDC recommendations.
* Our venue has a capacity of 400+ normally, and with an average of 7 or 8 people per night, we have 1/40th of what the venue could fit. The point is that there is plenty of space to keep the necessary 6ft+ distance from each other. Audio has a booth which is easy. Video is set up in the literal middle of the floor to allow maximum distance from others. If you are unfamiliar with Buffalo Iron Works, please see some of the photos posted illustrating how much space we are keeping between each other.
* We send advance information to each band that, effectively, has wording along the lines of "If you do not feel 100% then do not come, we would rather cancel or postpone before we risk anything." No pressure on the bands, AT ALL.
There are certainly other precautions, but I thought it would be important for the public to know that we do not take this lightly. This post isn't meant as defense, nor to try to persuade. This post is meant as information and information alone.
Thank you for the support so far, Buffalo.
WE ARE HAPPY TO ANSWER QUESTIONS. Privately or publicly.

Copper & Gin
Born out of roots music, classic rock, alt-country and the blues, Copper & Gin is hard to categorize. The Buffalo, NY based band is ever evolving. After launching their debut album in 2018 they were promptly featured in the Sportsmans AmericanFest and finalists in the WYRK 106.5 Country Riser competition. Other recent career highlights include opening for The Strictly Hip and winning the 2019 Buffalo Night-Life award for โBest Original Band.โ The band has always striven for authenticity and honesty in their lyrics and sound.
Lead vocalist Dejon Hamann is backed by guitarist Zach Siegel, bassist Charlie Wesley, drummer Rick Poy, and vocalists Tory Arena and Melody Catalano.
