30 buses. We’re coming Governor Murphy. Hear us!
Channel 12 News will be live in front of the arena at HS North where we’re meeting this morning at 7:30am to cover the rally for our funding.
This Tuesday I believe is part of step one in a multi-pronged approach to save our students programs. Kindergarten and co-curricular programs must be preserved at all cost!! Send a message to Trenton! If you can’t be there in person for whatever reason please post, tweet, email, and call during the hours of 10am- noon!!! Full assault from every angle. Call news media outlets or email them for coverage. Use hashtags wherever possible! Let them hear our message loud and clear!! Raising taxes is not the funding answer!!
Hello friends.
I want to thank every one of you who supported me in the Toms River School Board election. Unfortunately, I did not win last night, but I do take pride in how close I came.
I had an incredible support team who took a chance on me, “the long shot”, because they believed in me and what I stood for. For that I am truly grateful. I feel really blessed.
So congratulations to my opponent. I wish you and the entire school board the best of luck and may you all work together for the good of our students.
Always vote, If you love where you live, care about your schools, want to inspire our youth...get up and do something.
Don’t forget to vote for me, Lisa Natale-Contessa, Tuesday November 5th for Toms River School Board! I have already started many professional relationships in Trenton, and learned so much about the responsibilities that the school board needs to stay on top of to make sure the school district run as efficiently as possible. I love this town and want the best for tax payers and students.
Rain or shine I knocked on so many doors today talking to many voters about the importance of this election and the responsibilities that being a school board member entails. I love this community and I want to do everything I can to make sure the schools run as efficiently as possible.
I’m going to do what ever it takes to get our fair share of school funding back. Please vote for me November 5th if you want someone who work hard for students and tax payers.
I did some walking this week and met some amazing people. I talked to many residents about the problems facing the community and it has given me even more energy to continue fighting !
If you would like a Natale-Contessa lawn sign please send us a direct message or email us at [email protected]
I was glad I was able to bring my son Mason when I met with two Senior Staff members from Governor Phil Murphy’s office. It was a productive meeting at which I not only gained a greater understanding of the States Funding Formula but I’m forging relationships with key people that want to work with me to find solutions.
I’m in Trenton today to talk to members of Governor Murphy’s staff to find out exactly who it is that I’ll need to work with once I’m elected to the school board to get our fair share of state school funding back.
Just 16 days until Election Day. Please get out and vote on November 5th!
Lisa Natale-Contessa Urges Toms River Residents to Call Murphy, Sweeney to ask for Fair School Funding – Shore News Network
“I’m a mom and a taxpayer so I have a vested interest in my town and our schools. Trenton’s decision to unfairly reduce Toms River’s fair share of funding has spurred me to get off the sidelines and get involved. I’m fighting for our fair share of tax dollars and I’m fighting for our kids, I’m committed to bringing my education and financial experience to a board inundated with complex issues. I have quite a few ideas, that if diligently pursued, will help offset the loss of Trenton aid and stabilize school taxes.”

My son's friends and I, making signs and putting literature together to get ready for this busy campaign season.
Just had the opportunity to chat with Bill Spadea from NJ 101.5. This morning was dedicated to listening to any candidate running for office in NJ. He asked who I was and why I'm running. My reply?

PLEASE SHARE ! My vision is to make sure that every child is inspired and challenged to reach their highest potential. I expect students to be prepared, supported, challenged and encouraged as individuals. Our schools should offer an innovative curriculum that balances both excellence in the traditional subjects and encourages creative, independent and
critical thinkers.
You have my word. I will fight for our fair share of tax dollars, fight to keep our taxes stable, find additional streams of revenue so we can invest in technology and state of the art resources to deliver the quality education our kids deserve.

The time is now and I will no longer sit on the side lines as Trenton cuts our school funding, burdening our homeowners and senior citizens while our schools are forced to limit the opportunities of our students.
I plan to bring my education, background and experience in finance as well as a fresh perspective to a Board of Education inundated with complex issues, and to work with the board to solve those issues, while remaining at all times focused on stabilizing taxes and promoting a climate that breeds excellence in education.
I am asking for your vote, so I can fight for our students, our teachers and our community. I will not let you down.

I’m happy to say I met so many of my neighbors tonight. I love my neighborhood. I’m sad to say I didn’t know many of them sooner. But it’s all good. We share the same views. I love getting involved in the school board. There’s so much to do. So many good things happening in addition to many challenges. I can’t wait to help.
I sent this letter out to the residents of Toms River this week. If you vote by mail you will be receiving your ballots soon if you haven't already.
Be sure to vote #6 Lisa Natale Contessa for TRBOE I will do everything it takes to stabilize our tax dollars while promoting a climate that breeds excellence in education.
I chose to move to Toms River 20 years ago because I wanted to live in a community that was beautiful, and had highly rated schools so I could raise my family here. I’m passionate about education, as I have a Master’s Degree, and I encourage my children to seek the highest level of education possible. And I know that the public education they receive now is critical in properly preparing them for their best future. Academics are important, as are the arts, music, sports, and all the extra curricular activities that make for well rounded, confident individuals who can contribute positively to the world.
September 24th is National Voter Registration Day. EVERY election is important. Never miss the privilege to be heard. If you are not registered please do so. And make sure you vote on November 5th.

Saturday was a perfect day and an awesome event in beautiful Island Heights. There’s so much we have to offer in these communities, so many great local businesses, civic organizations, the camaraderie among everyone here, our beautiful waterways…..if you missed Sail Fest this year, you should make it a point to attend next year. It just gets better and better.
What a great time I had this weekend at the “Hope Sheds Light Walk” in Seaside Heights. This brings so much awareness to the opioid crisis that affects so many of us. And it’s horrifying as a parent to even think about your child doing drugs. But it’s a huge threat and we can’t be naïve. If elected to the Toms River School Board I will work with the schools and do everything possible to protect our kids and prevent this drug problem from hurting even one more family.
