Begin each day by remembering one thing for which you are grateful. When you're brushing your teeth, you can do this or just wait for the snoozing alarm to go off.
Try keeping an eye out for fun stuff in your life while you go about your day. They can be major stuff, like realizing that you are loved by others or getting a well-deserved promotion.

Hug More!
To relieve tension, a direct, heart-to-heart hug lasting about ten to twenty seconds a day helps. A slightly longer embrace allows oxytocin, a bonding "feel good" hormone, to be released. And I don't think modern humans do this often enough. Human contact can be soothing, but often we just have our pets available to hug in these days of pandemic lockout, and that's all right, too.

Practice meditation.
There are several meditation techniques to try. Movement, concentration, spirituality, or a mixture of all three may be involved.
It doesn't have to be complex meditation. For 5 minutes, it can be as easy as sitting quietly with your own thoughts. As a form of meditation, even the deep breathing exercises described earlier can help.
