I sat down a moment ago to write about Memorial day and what it means to us.
Could I provide the history of Memorial day?
Could I consider our fortune in regards to our freedom and prosperity?
Could I contrast the differences between today, and this day last year?
Could I take a look at how lucky we are compared to other nations or groups of nations with comparable size and economic impact?
Not that I would ever take cheeky jabs at other nation's governments.

I imagine I could've done a great many things and then maybe a few others on top of that.
Or I could do none of that.
I am a free American after all.

As you may have guessed from reading this, I decided to do a bit of both and wish you a happy Memorial Day and thank the troops who sacrificed their own lives to protect ours and our God given rights.

Thank you, brave soldiers. Be you from the 18th or 21st century.
