Elevate people with the word of God. Inspire leadership and faith with quotes and blogs from an Air
How many times do we pray to God and say “take this away from me” and fail to accept His grace. The Bible says that by doing so, we are also by grace receiving strength in our weakness.
-
Where we see weakness, God see’s a humble warrior ready for battle.
-
When you understand why, the how becomes a vehicle not the driver.
-
Sometimes we can fix ourselves on certain methods or customs that we fail to see the greater purpose behind what we are doing and may miss an opportunity to change, adapt or grow. This failure can lead to a crash.
-
In the the air we call this loss of SA or situational awareness. Certain checklist and procedures that pilots run may not apply in all circumstances. Especially in an emergency situation.
-
It’s better to have a grasp on “why” so that you can have better judgement and make better decisions.

Typically, I preach that leadership is all about growing others but I believe that initially you have to lead yourself well so that you can lead by example.

“Let all that I am wait quietly before God.” Psalm 62:5 💥double tap!
-
How often do you practice waiting quietly before God?
-
Waiting quietly is about trusting God with the outcome. Not that we aren’t diligent, but that our peace is stemmed in God’s goodness and not the result we actually want.
-
Waiting is a form of meditation. Practice waiting on God today and feel your stress go down.

In Isaiah 60:1-3 This message was for Jerusalem but the will of God holds true for all of God’s people.

It’s time to RISE above the ashes. Settle on new ground. Make new. RISE to: Rebuild. Restore. Reboot. Renew.

“Leave a legacy” mentality. Let’s elevate the next generation and prepare this earth for them as best we can and not expect them to fix it.
-
I was always taught to leave a place better than when you entered it. Don’t make a mess and leave.

Make your light so shine that others may see! Love is the answer. Treat each other as you would yourself. We need to remember this daily. Start there.

Stand on empathy. Empathy is the quality of a leader of listening to understand.
-
It doesn’t mean we have to agree on everything but it’s important to have perspective and view others as uniquely different because of how they were raised, what they experienced, and differences in personality.
-
Jesus modeled empathy well and that’s what made his ministry so effective. Before teaching or healing people, He makes you feel known and that He cares about your pain and struggle.

One of my favorite quotes from author John Maxwell, “Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.”

Leadership begins with what you think about yourself.
-
What you think about yourself affects what you believe, what you believe affects your habits, your habits affect your decisions, and your decisions ultimately affect your leadership.
-
The Bible says “do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.” Romans 12:3.
-
Thinking low or too high of yourself will negatively impact your leadership. The key is to find that sweet spot rooted in God’s word.

⚓️ANCHOR = HOPE = SALVATION✝️
-
The hope is in the saving work of the cross through Jesus.
-
The ⚓️ is an ancient symbol that is commonly know for stability. Think of a ⛵️ that is anchored in rough waters. The weight of the anchor prevents the boat from easily being manipulated by the sea.
-
In Jesus “...a better hope is introduced, through which we draw near to God” Hebrews 7:19
