Honey? What is that?

Honey processing is a method where the mucilage of the coffee cherry is left on the beans as they dry. The result? Coffee that is sweet, flavourful and full of body.

Our columbian honey process produces a syrupy full cup that will leave you wanting a smakerel more every time

How fresh is your cup?

Coffee beans are a perishable food product. They are in fact the seeds of a coffee cherry roasted to bring out some of the 200+ flavour compounds found in coffee and - they are meant to be extracted soon after roasting.

As coffee ages these flavour compounds break down and are lost to staleness - this means that even great coffee that is not fresh - is not good.

We roast fresh on order so you know that your coffee is fresh - we recommend using within 30 days of roast date.

Christmas is over but berry and bright can be all year round.

This year we are introducing some exciting coffees starting with a limited African natural.
Delicious juicy blueberry notes, and citrus make for a clean filter, or an adventurous espresso.

Our crowd pleaser. If you love rich, dark coffee, but have to add 4 sugars - you may need to make an adjustment.

Phoenix is a blend of PNG and Brazilian coffee roasted right up to 2nd crack, so get that rich darkness with a hint of smoke, but still smooth and not bitter.

It stands up to milk in a way that’s like two brothers fighting it out - it reminds the milk who is boss, but then they hug it out - making for rich and flavourful lattes capp’S, and flat whites. It also has a beautiful chocolate finish to it, making macc’s and straight up shots delightful.

How fresh is your cup?

There are many factors that contribute to an amazing cup of coffee - and freshness is one of them.

Many of the rich flavours and tasting notes in coffee are masked by, or lost as a coffee stales.

In general you want to use your beans 30 days after they have been roasted. The darker your coffee roast, the more important this is. Even in a “vaccum seal” beans loose their oils and freshness.

This makes finding fresh coffee so important - the solution? Small batches roasted to order that you can top up on anytime.
