In our secular employment, the Lord develops character and ability that will enable us to step right into the position He has for us here and also in eternity. In our secular employment, God has just the right “polishers” sitting next to us to gently polish us day after day after day. He has chosen with great care these “polishers” who can 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁𝘀. 😊

As a new year starts, 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱. 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘂𝗽 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲. But God cannot use us effectively this year if we ourselves are still entangled to the same bondages as the previous years.
Jacob was so tired of his deceitful nature that he would not let God go until God changed him.

𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙨 32:26-28 𝙉𝙇𝙏
𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘑𝘢𝘤𝘰𝘣 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥, “𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘰 𝘶𝘯𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘮𝘦.”
“𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦?” 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘦𝘥. 𝘏𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘥, “𝘑𝘢𝘤𝘰𝘣.”
“𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘦 𝘑𝘢𝘤𝘰𝘣,” 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘪𝘮. “𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘰𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘐𝘴𝘳𝘢𝘦𝘭, 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘯.”

We know that the man Jacob was wrestling with was the Lord because he declared in verse 30, “I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.” 𝗦𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘂𝘀, 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱, 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗯, 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗴𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿.

You may be in a position where God is dealing with your disobedience. You cannot escape from God when He has put you in a situation to deal with something in your life. It is God’s desire to restore you and give you a second chance. Romans 11:29 says that the gifts and callings of God are irrevocable. As in the case of Jonah, He wants to restore you to your original calling. 😊
