Things are moving along! I'm so excited to share the 3-D mock-ups of Dear the Man Upstairs. I was sad to learn the book does not come with the smartphone pictured, but that's life.

What is the book about? Based loosely on my childhood experiences, "Dear the Man Upstairs" explores the dynamics of a young girl growing up through a series of letters. The main character begins writing letters to "The Man Upstairs," not realizing that the name is a euphemism for God. In her letters, she details her time at school, appointments with her child psychologist, and the tensions in her family life. Someone begins to write back. (It's not God.)

One of my favorite quotes is by Terry Pratchett, "“If you trust in yourself. . .and believe in your dreams. . .and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”

Writing is hard work, but I think it's worth the dream.

Exciting News: I'm writing a book that will be published by New Degree Press! I was just green-lit for the first draft of my manuscript and am so excited to continue this journey.
