Baked cranberries loaf with sourdough starter discards! About 50% of this loaf was discards and rests were flour, water and salt and eyeballing the consistency. It was sooo good that I decided to make another loaf with cranberries and fresh rosemary! I made sandwiches with this loaf and it was fantastic! 🧡🥰

Banana bread, cinnamon buns & some loafs! I’m thankful that I have AC so that I can continue to bake!

Update on foster kitties! 🐈‍⬛ 🐈‍⬛ Found out that black one is Bello and black & white one is Jake! Glad to clear their names up with my coordinator! They are settling in very nicely, snuggling pretty much everyday 🥰🧡 so grateful that I’m able to help them get ready to being adopted while they give me some love 💕

I’m officially a foster mum to these two beautiful boys starting today! Black & white tuxedo long hair boy is Bello. The other guy is Jack (Black) 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ these are bonded 9 yr old boys and already exploring my place 😊 I’ll be spending some time with them in the next little while to get them ready for the adoption! 🧡🥰

It was such a nice day to be outside 🧡 so grateful that I’m able to spend some downtime eating my favourite sushi, feeling the nice breeze (and hearing multiple lawnmowers hard at work 😅) & the sun ☀️🥰🙏 after finishing the sushi, I was like “that’s it? Not enough!! 😂” my tummy says “that was perfect!” Can’t wait to play our first 🏒 game back tonight! (And yes my legs are bit sore from last night’s practice 🤣)

These homemade double cheese burger 🍔 & strawberry mint green tea kombucha were sooo good! A perfect summer food combo!

Watching beautiful sunset the other day 😍🧡 thank you Mother Nature 🙏🥰 it was a bit windy & chilly so had to run on the way back to keep myself warm 😁

1. Homemade beef katsu burger with homemade sourdough buns, homegrown sprouts, stir fry veggies, wasabi mayo, tonkatsu sauce.
2. Sourdough Cinnamon Buns for a birthday celebration at one of my friends’ office 🧡
3. Experimenting a new flavour, black olives + marble cheese sourdough loaf. I felt something was missing, so continue to experiment, maybe adding a little more salt or fresh herbs like “oregano thyme mint” herb (yes! 3 flavours in 1 plant!)

Happy Friday 🧡 what a beautiful day it is! After delivering the loaves, I treated myself with Fish & Chips from Go Fish and sat by the water to eat my food with this view 😍 I’m so grateful 🧡🙏🧡🙏 It was great to catch up some sleep also, as I only had a few hrs of sleep last night... 💤 have a wonderful weekend everyone! 🧡

It was my first ride of the season on Monday and super fun sharing the time with my friend and his nephew! Getting up to Spanky’s Ladder as well as Secret Chute made my day for sure! And look at the blue bird!!! 😍😍😍 So grateful to be able to enjoy this beautiful nature close to me and with friends! 🧡🙏

Been pretty busy baking sourdough this week!

Starting the week with experimenting new flour that I got over the weekend and to see how the gluten develops (& proofing time).

Then, baking a loaf with ladoga whole wheat, this new flour and rye, as well as this new flour with oatmeal & nuts.

Following day, baked rye loaf & regular loaf.

Finally, baked 2 sets of cinnamon knots & 3 plain loaves 🧡🧡🧡

I feel that my week is now complete 🥰🧡🙏

There are many paths to take and we all reach to the ocean & the Mother Earth & the Universe is there for us 🧡🙏 what we learn along the way is one of the most important thing and go with the flow 🧡

Just looking back beautiful sunny last weekend walk at the Lighthouse 💕💕 fresh crisp air, warm sun & good companies ❤️ so blessed 🙏💕

Manifestation at its best! I really wanted to grow my baking & serving more people. Also, I wanted to have a mixer to help relieve my overworked arm as I was kneading entirely by hand/arm (mostly right arm 😂). I was visualizing everyday what that would look like. Printing out the mixer model and being excited about it as if what I asked for my Christmas present to Santa 😋

And that higher happy energy/vibration attracted a good person by chance and introduced me to a new community of people ❤️🙏 and just as I was introduced to this new community, my dream mixer showed up (local Costco finally restocked it as they were sold out since November!)! And I was able to deliver my bread & cinnamon knots/rolls for everyone this weekend 🥰🥰🥰

So, if you have something that you want to make it come true, imagine that they are on your way, create some visual presentation & excited about it & fill with the happiness ❤️❤️❤️🙏 No what if’s, just happy vibes ❣️😊💓

Once a year, we eat uncut sushi roll, facing ‘lucky’ direction of the year (south south east this year) and no talking until finishing it. Usually Feb 3 is the day, and this year is special. After 124years, it is Feb 2 as usual Feb 3 is overlapping with the first day of spring in the lunisolar calendar. I made 2 rolls both with cucumbers, green onions, imitation crab, pre-made shrimp tempura, shiitake mushroom 💕 they were delicious! 😋❤️ im grateful for the Universe to provide me the abundance & keeping everyone safe & healthy ❤️

Nature walk to refuel my soul 🥰🙏 once we were on the trail, the weather held up pretty good and trees were proving good shelter most of the way too! 💕 Thank you Mother Nature 🙏❤️

It’s been awhile since I made cinnamon knots! A request from my dear friend came in so I made these! ❤️ so grateful to be able to have time to make these and continue to offer them to my dear friend 💕🥰🙏

Ever had a feeling that "I can't believe it's already Thursday (or whichever the days of the week/month/year) and I don't know where the time goes!" and "I feel like I haven't done much yet and it's already Thursday!"? I've personally had so many of those feelings in the past. Today, I felt the opposite (in a good way). "Oh wait, it's still Wednesday? And I feel like I've accomplished many things and still have a few more days before the weekend!" and "I can bake a few more loaves!" I love the business which allows me to manage my time better, bake more breads offering the fuel and smile to people ❤️🙏😄

She is my coach for the online business. She teaches & shares her knowledge, experiences, wisdom and unlimited support to me and all of us in the community. I’m grateful for her gifts and being able to bake sourdough buns for her as a small token of my gratitude & her enjoying them is one of the best things that I can do with this business! ❤️🙏

My ‘Kakizome’ (Japanese term for the first calligraphy written at the begging of a year, traditionally on January 2nd). These letters mean a gift from the higher self. I chose this because you are the gift ❤️ and I am the gift ❤️🙏 Also, the second character can be read as ‘megumi’ which is my name (though my kanji character is different) 🥰

Phew! Super busy day of baking! 6 loaves all went to several families today 🥰 and I now have tons of bread snack made from discard multiple sourdough starter (unbleached flour, rye flour and rice flour) all to myself 😋😂 hope everyone had a happy Friday! I sure did! ❤️🙏
